We are locals and this was not our first time at this restaurant. However, this could possibly be our last. We were there for my birthday on 24 January. There is a tiny table for 2 stuck way back in a corner, which we call no man’s land. That is where we were seated. The service was terrible. We finally got our salads after almost an hour. Then came the appetizer, which was so unbelievably salty I couldn’t eat it and have no idea how my husband did. The entrée was no better. I ordered the stuffed shrimp and not only did it not look appetizing, it tasted vile. Never before have we ever been so disappointed in a meal in a restaurant. FYI, from the conversations around us, we were not the only ones and not the only locals. They need to get their act together in this restaurant if they intend to stay in business.

Ruffino’s is a true neighborhood staple in Lynbrook. The interiors are absolutely stunning, and every dish we tried was so delicious! The ambiance and hospitality were incredible. Sal, Kristen, and Abby were all so warm and welcoming. It truly felt like I was dining with family! Santo was amazing - so pleasant, friendly, and made great recommendations. I had the Baked Clams, Penne Arrabiata, Salad, and Tiramisu...absolutely delish!! You can genuinely feel that they put their heart and soul into everything they do here. A must-visit! Can’t wait to go back! ♡

Great food, great service, new decor. Portions are generous. Pizza bread on the table. Veal was super tender in 3 of the veal dishes we ordered. One order of stuffed shrimp had 6 large shrimp cooked properly and the stuffing was delicious. Had the pistachio cheesecake for dessert, different and delicious.

Great food, reasonable pricing, excellent service. Delicious salad with every meal. Sal, the owner, makes delicious desserts, spends most of his time in the kitchen, but still visits the restaurant to greet his customers. Lots of regulars.

Edit 2. Eat it while it is hot because when it's cold it does not taste like regular pizza. All I taste is a weird cheddar cheese which I do not want on pizza unless I've ordered it. The soda was the best part because it made me feel like I was back in the late '90s with the Dr pepper cream soda flavor

I wouldn't recommend it for regular pizza goers because of the cheese taste. After letting it sit for a minute or two after running this review I tried another bite and it's almost offsetting. Sad. If you think you've had eggplant Parmesan, you haven't until you've been to Ruffino's. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. The baked clams were so good we wanted to lick the plate clean. Thank God for the generous amount of bread to dip it in! The steak Pizzaiola was tender and fantastic. We also ordered penne a la vodka, what we got was penne "ala holy god this is delicious!" I would highly recommend you come out here and enjoy a GREAT meal with the lovely owners of Ruffino's. Sal is the man!
