First; to be clear, this restaurant is lovely. But im from CNY and their attempt at chicken riggies is okay, but the chef doesn't know how to make the sauce.
Second: A true CNYer knows that every chicken riggie sauce batch is work that Nonna teaches you in the kitchen.
This sauce does not have a key ingredient: cherry peppers. The peppers add flavor, depth and heat to the dish. There is no spice/heat to this sauce what so ever. (Even though the menu wrote spicy in parenthesis next to it, it's laughable).
Third: The chicken goes in the sauce and cooks WITH the sauce. Every piece should be the perfect size so you don't need to take a knife to it so you can fit it in your mouth. What was given to us: The chicken was clearly cooked separately from the sauce and tossed in as an afterthought. (Shame on you, chef) the chicken lacked flavor and the tenderness that's typically found with this dish.
If you need a demonstration on how to perfect this sauce so you can have traditional riggie sauce, call me. I may not be Nonna, but I'll help you out.

Every single thing about this place was perfect. The service, down to the last detail. And the food, first word that comes to mind is SPECTACULAR and then also MIND BLOWINGLY DELICOUS. We had the calamari fra diavlo to start. It's the best calamari I have had in a very long time, and the sauce was ?? I mean even my salad, the tomatoes and cucumbers were so clearly fresh it made such a huge difference. I had the lobster and shrimp fra diavlo and oh my gawwwwssshhh it was absolutely just everything I wanted it to be and exceeded expectations. But my husband got the stuffed cod, and holy wow. Seriously, that fish, the stuffing, and whatever that sauce is....an absolute must. All in all, if i could give more stars I would and not only will I be telling anyone looking for a great restaurant recommendation, but me and my husband will absolutely be back!!! I can't say enough good about this restaurant.

Staff was the best part. Seems like a great local spot. Food was just ok. Everthing was very salty. Wedge salad was tasty but small. The stuffed cod was tasty but underdone and salty. I would go back for the atmosphere.

This is our second time here within a year and I just wish we had been back sooner! EVERYTHING from the cocktails, appetizers, dinner and dessert was beyond amazing! Our server Sue was top notch and we never had to ask for anything - she had it on our table before we noticed we needed it. The service, atmosphere and especially the food is the best! Can’t wait to go back!

Such a great place! Food was really good. I had the pork belly mac and cheese OMG ? and Bob had the NY Strip, the service unparalleled. Steve is the best reflection of Saratoga? So engaging and knowledgeable about everything on the menu and he’s a hugger!! Can’t say enough about food and service(and Larry’s jacket ?). Seriously don’t second guess!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Second time eating here and having a great experience! We reserved a table ahead of time for our party of 6 so there were no lines and no waiting. We were seated right away and all the adults got an ice cold cocktail. Their signature bloody Mary's with Titos is usually my go-to. I'm a little snobby when it comes to bloodys and they do it just right! Our kids enjoyed their grilled cheese with fries and buttered pasta. The adults had the pork schnitzel, chicken stack, turkey dinner and I had the NY strip. We didn't say a single word to each other once the food came out except for the random "Yum's". Everyone enjoyed their meals as they came out hot, fresh and very flavorful. We are excited to go back a third time and try something else off of their very diverse menu!
