Carson's Woodside Tavern Reviews
Just ok food, average drinks and absolutely awful customer service. You feel like an inconvenience. Food took forever to come out and was cold and over cooked. I really wanted to like this place because of the view and outdoor space but after trying it several times, each experience gets worse. I just can't recommend.
My husband and I stopped here on our way to Massachusetts and it was wonderful good food, beautiful scenery and employees were exceptionally nice.
I most certainly would recommend!
I cannot say enough about the staff at Carson’s Woodside Tavern. We decided on Carsons after a memorial service at Saratoga National Cemetery. We called Enroute and advised the staff of an incoming party of 22. Elizabeth told us it was a minimum of a 45 min wait. Carson's Woodside Tavern offers an exceptional dining experience with amazing views of Saratoga Lake. The restaurant is known for its delicious food, including the tuxedo shrimp, Caesar salad, and mac and cheese. Guests often enjoy the fried mozzarella with malba sauce and sweet chili wings, which are described as on point. The owners and staff provide great service, accommodating even large walk-in parties and offering an attentive experience. Visitors can enjoy the cozy atmosphere, complete with fire pits, and catch multiple games in the bar area. Carson's also hosts popular Monday night trivia nights.
The menu features excellent options like the Rachel and Steve-O's Turkey sandwiches, which are praised for their deliciousness. The fries are also well-liked, and the service is excellent, with servers checking on customers and ensuring they have everything they need. The live music by bands like Grand Central Station and Skippy and Pistons adds to the beautiful summer atmosphere. The owners, Bill and Susie, make everyone feel like family.
The restaurant offers a great burger, and the Ruben sandwich is a must-try, with the right tangy flavor. The prime rib is also a popular choice, described as huge and tasty. While the service can be slow during busy times, the overall atmosphere and quality of the food make it worth a visit.
