Went to Nanola (on 4/7/2024 for the record) for the first time. This was also supposed to be a nice birthday dinner for myself, but it ended up being a disaster. It wasn't the food that was the issue. I had a nice fish fry and some solid wings. Their fare is tasty enough, if a bit pricey. The real problem was the music and the service. Problem #1: My party was first in line at the "wait to be seated" area, but no one came to seat us. After a while, we walked further in to where some EXTREMELY loud rock music was being played and finally found someone to help us. The woman informed us that she wasn't an employee, but she would help us get seated anyway. I think she was a relative of one of the band members. Problem #2: When I say it was loud in there, I don't mean "It was kinda loud and slightly off-putting." I mean, they were handing out free earplugs. I'm saying it was SITTING IN THE FRONT ROW OF A ROCK CONCERT LOUD. Even though we were seated a good distance away from the stage, I couldn't talk to the rest of my party. We could only hear each other in the brief pauses between songs. Problem #3: Our server, who seemed to be one of only a couple waitstaff working that night, somehow managed to correctly take our order despite the insanely loud music. We facilitated this through a combination of yelling and pointing at the menu. However, because they had almost no staff, we waited 15 minutes just to get water. Then another 25 minutes before food arrived. And we were bombarded with insanely loud music the entire time. In retrospect, we probably should've moved out to the patio, but then, I'm not sure we would've gotten anything. Needless to say, when the food finally arrived, we ate as quickly as we could, paid the bill and left hastily. I want to be clear that I don't blame the waitress for any of this. I actually felt bad for her, running around like a chicken with her head chopped off and trying to interact with customers when no one could hear themselves think. Nor do I blame the band, because they were just doing a gig. I mean, they were an amateurish cover band performing a set they'd learned by playing Rock Band on Playstation, but I happen to like classic and alternative rock, so I normally would've found some measure of enjoyment... IF MY EARS WEREN'T BLEEDING AS I TRIED TO EAT! Whoever owns and/or manages this place is at fault. Decide whether you want to be a restaurant or a concert hall. Keep the volume of the live music to a reasonable level. Hire enough people to run your business. Seriously, get it together.

Don't order online. I ordered a few weeks ago. Got a confirmation and order successful but no food when i went to pick it up. They didn't have a record of it, so I ordered again and was told I wouldn't be charged for the online order. Well I did get charged. I called and it went to voicemail. Here I am weeks later with no call back and a bill of over $120 for two burgers and a Po boy sandwich. Will not be back.

Fave local spot. Revamped menu is delicious. New Cajun Shrimp appetizer and Fried Chicken sandwich worth trying. Live music/entertainment every weekend. Always a good time! Try their signature Swamp Water & Frisky Whiskey cocktails

Ordered Austin style white wings, supposedly chicken stuffed with jalapeños and mozzarella wrapped in bacon with their special Nanola honey mustard. Received 4 smaller than a ping pong ball bacon wrapped chicken? Hard to tell as it was dried out, no jalapeño or cheese visible and miniscule amount of sauce. When I asked for more sauce since they were dry as dust I was charged another 50 cents!! Combined with VERY small glass of white wine which costs $9.00 this is probably the most expensive worst dining experience I've ever had. I will never, ever go there again. What I paid for an inedible appetizer, 2 glasses of wine plus tip would have gotten me a steak dinner at Delmonico's.

A couple decent meals. Wings are horrible and greasy. They really didn’t seem to care that they sucked. Beer flat but sometimes has live music so has its place as far as a place a hang out. I do like that I can stop there with my dog and eat on the deck.

Recently updated menu/recipes have been incredible so far on 4 trips to Nanola. Staff is always friendly, good atmosphere, and now a menu to back it all up. Highly recommend!

I loved this place on a quiet night, the reservation was made 15 minutes before we went on a weekend evening in winter !!! Every appetizer we ordered we shared and loved. Fried pickles, Nachos and a few others were yummy. The service was extremely efficient and friendly. Bar drinks and wine bottles ?were all reasonably priced. We didn't order dinners but I would love to go back and try it - very relaxing atmosphere (when there isn't a band) !!! Quite surprised actually ☘️☘️☘️!!!

We were pretty disappointed that we paid $19 for the Cajun chicken sandwich and the chicken was a quarter of the bun. Over all the atmosphere was good but the portions were really small compared to what we paid. I don’t think we will go

Great food, friendly service. I had New Orleans Pasta and it was perfect! Good beer selection- It was a bit loud and waitress looked 16. Asked for beer menu and was told told to scan a code. Kinda lame. But overall good!

My lady reserved a table for us to check out Nanola for a belated Valentine’s Day dinner. Being a native New Orleanian I was excited about the possibilities of an authentic restaurant of nawlins food.So we show up and host seated us and the waitress was nice and prompt. The booth seating I was sitting in had a hanging piece of wood on it (pictured). So that wasn’t great first impression.Waitress was kind and took our drink orders (Utica club and a non alcoholic beer). She went and found a non alcoholic beer for me which i appreciated. However the Utica club was 5$ price on the table QR code (but was 6$ on the bill)and it was flat. We let the waitress know and she said she would let the bartender know and get her another but we declined bc we didn’t want another flat beer- and we weren’t interested in anything else on the beer menu. The drink was not removed from our final bill. I also had black bits floating in my water. Might need to clean the ice machine ?Secondly, we looked at the menu and I was excited about the gator bites but unfortunately sold out due to Mardi Gras. Menu was a bit questionable, no fried shrimp po-boy? Sautéed shrimp will make the bread soggy. Why is the catfish not fried on the po boy? Might as well just be a fish sandwich. I can make gumbo and jambalaya at home and it cost less than 17.00 so I wasn’t interested in trying anything else.We ended up getting the pickle spears which were excellent and came out quickly.Ultimately, 26$ later we were disappointed in the experience and decided to leave to go to another nearby restaurant. This place missed the mark for me and I won’t be coming back.
