The waitress kept pressuring us to order more/ more expensive entrees. The chef's don't do as many tricks as they used to. Felt more like just watching someone cook, instead of a show.

Have been going here for a long time not as good as it used to be especially I don’t know what’s up with the fried rice. They put a lot of pepper in it. I don’t even know why pepper is in there in the first place and sometimes the meat, especially the filet mignon is a little hard or overcooked. Hopefully they’ll make things better. Otherwise at this price I’ll just go somewhere else.

Best restaurant in America. The food is a 15 out of 10, but the staff is even better!
If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would. The only reason it’s getting even 1 star is because the food itself wasn’t terrible — but let me be clear, the service was an absolute nightmare and completely ruined the entire experience.
From the second we sat down, the staff acted like they didn’t care about us because we were just kids. They were rude, disrespectful, and treated us like we weren’t worth their time. It honestly felt like we were a burden to them instead of paying customers.
Then came the bill — and that’s when things really got bad. They literally added items that we never ordered onto the check, and when we pointed it out, the server flat-out lied and said that we did. That is dishonest and disgusting behavior. We ended up paying it just to get out of there, but the fact that they thought they could scam us because we’re younger is ridiculous.
One of my friends had to call her mom to add money to her card, and instead of being patient or professional, the waiter actually called her crazy. Who does that? That’s not only unprofessional, it’s insulting.
And let’s talk about the tip situation — because that was sneaky beyond belief. The tip was automatically included in the bill, and it was calculated after taxes, not before (which is the normal, fair way to do it). On top of that, when we went to pay, the screen only gave us “choices” of 18%, 20%, or 25%. No option to enter your own amount. When I asked about it, the server straight-up told me no, I couldn’t change it. That’s basically forcing people to overpay.
At that point, I had to call my mom in, and suddenly, as soon as she showed up, the waitress magically changed her story. She admitted she was wrong, and my mom called the manager over. The manager gave us the pathetic excuse that “it was busy” — as if being busy makes it okay to scam customers, lie, and treat people like trash. As soon as my mom was standing there, they were suddenly able to “fix” the bill, remove the items we didn’t order, and let us pick our own tip. So clearly they knew what they were doing all along.
This whole experience was sneaky, dishonest, unprofessional, and downright disrespectful. I will never go back to this Benihana, and I would warn anyone else thinking about it to stay far away unless you want to be lied to, disrespected, and overcharged.
Additionally, I would like to say that we had a reservation for 6pm, checked in at 5:50pm and we never got seated until almost 6:30 which I thought was very rude, and nobody even apologized.

The waitress was rude. She demanded an 18% tip. When we told the manager he was defensive and attributed it to the restaurant being busy. DO NOT RECOMMEND! Service was terrible!

Normally the food and service are excellent. The food last night had too much pepper and not enough garlic butter. The server didn't come over to check on the table and only stopped because I asked for a glass of water with the check.
Really fun place, family friendly, good kids menu options. Chefs are really nice and service is fast and easy

We waited almost 20 minutes for a reservation table. The waitress padded the bill by adding items to my original order. I ordered steak hibachi ($32.50) and the cook gave me steak and chicken (48.50)after it was already cooked. It was a $16.00 upcharge. We asked for the basic fried rice and the cook gave us fried rice with chicken, an additional upcharge of $15.00. I paid.. annoyed and then asked to speak to a supervisor on my way out, and the guy at the desk said no one is there and I would have to send an email. I will not be returning
Our Hibachi chef Luis was superb and he made our whole experience a very memorable one. His flair and panache with the theatrics of the Hibachi cooking was matched with the taste of the food produced, all a testament to his timing and care for the quality of the dishes made. Thanks again to all at Benihana for a quality evening of food and drink which our whole family really enjoyed.
