This place is terrible!!!! The supervisor and manager at this establishment are horrible. They need to seriously reevaluate how they run their bistro. I am a regular costumer and have witnessed on several occasions whom I was told was the evening supervisor, a taller dark-skinned lady speak to her employees very disrespectfully and treat costumers horribly. I have also spoken to the general manager Rob about it myself and communicating with him was impossible, it appears as though he is deaf and doesn’t know how to run the establishment properly. The employees seem miserable and like they don’t want to work there! Run!!!!

I ordered mango dragonfruit. The lady gave me a clear drink and she said they dont have dragonfruit bits anymore. I told her it tastes like plain water. She asked me to stir it. C’mon, you gave me a drink with a major ingredient missing, and you did not even mix it…and i was charged a full price! What a shame.

I work at Northshore and I love Bistro. Its so clean and the employees are friendly except one hispanic man behind the omelette station. I agree with previous reviews that he is very cold to some customers to the point that he doesn’t acknowledge you at all nor look you in the eyes. He just hands you the food without saying anything as if you’re a dog. I don’t mean to be blunt but after seeing him act pleasantly to few others several times gave me this conclusion that he’s simply choosing to be cold to some customers. I wasn’t even rude to him and I tried to be pleasant with him at first. If he doesn’t want to be in a customer service line of work, its probably best for him to try other areas of work. Its unfortunate that his negative attitude can overshadow the excellent service of his coworkers.

Have to say.. for a Hospital cafeteria they got it all. Lots of pastries.. salads and lattes.. open 24hrs. Very Clean. Service was friendly. Comes in handy in a pinch (when ya gotta be in the emergency room). Patient says the cupcake is "very good." can't beat it.

I came into the Bistro in the very late evening early morning while my husband was in the ER waiting for testing and the staff was very helpful and pleasant. I forgot my glasses at home and could not read the food labels because I need to be careful of my salt intake. The very nice lady behind the counter went out of her way to show me foods and sandwiches that were fresh and low in salt. The place was very clean and I was impressed with the staff.

The food is great not taking that away. The Hispanic men behind the counter are very bias to color people. I spend a few day in the hospital and observed the way they treat certain people. If you’re black, brown or Asian they give you the cold shoulder or completely ignore you. I’m disappointed that the people in charge at North-shore doesn’t see this.

The food was..meh! I tried the vegetarian lasagna & the chicken Quesadilla. To be fair, I’m not a vegetarian so I’ve never tasted Vegetarian Lasagna & honestly don’t know what it’s ingredients are supposed be nor what it should taste like. I didn’t like it. I have 1 star because the Quesadilla was passable, however the only meat I like shredded is pork, I prefer my chicken diced , shredded chicken gives off a already chewed food vibe and my pallet hates it! eww! The service …the cook was ok the CASHIERS WERE HORRIBLE!!! Zero stars for CASHIERS . I never write a review if it’s not more than one issue.. so HERE WE GO… the cashiers, one black girl , with a fade hair cut, and a small skinny white girl, pearl toned with nice eyes black/ or dark brown hair little button nose, yes, not quite sure but I think they create stories to distract so they can give you the wrong change, especially when you look like your far from home or donot work there. My husband went in earlier and asked for a lasagna, I came in at 730ish maybe 30 mins after him to try to return the lasagna and was told I could not, so I bought a quesadilla with guacamole on the side. They said a price, I didn’t hear what price they quoted me because I was too busy trying to seperate my money in my bag with one hand,( I had bags in my hands), I passed her a $50 bill and she gives me back 32 and I think .11 or .12 cents..not sure. No receipt. I usually ask for receipts (since I am on fetch) but was distracted when she just handed the Quesadilla to me without a bag. I asked if I can have a bag and she handed me the bag, still folded in its packing shape. I asked if they don’t usually bag the food…the white girl (my cashier) says “I don’t” and shrugged. They saw me struggle to get the bag open then put the quesadilla in and I said “no napkins either” and shook my head. But let’s go back, remember I was there to return a lasagna my husband had bout about 30 mins earlier… so when I get to the car I mention that the cashiers were rude and he told me yes they were very inappropriate speaking about a male manager they had a problem with very loudly, and I said “yes” and then I said “ well they were still talking about the same exact thing”. When I got home I tried to reach the store because I realized the change that she gave was short. I googled the name and number & an online tab was present, so I pressed order tab just to make sure the price I read of 9.95 was correct plus 2$ for Guacamole. So I decided to call to let them know I will be returning for the rest of my change. Then it dawned on me. How 30 to 40 mins later they were still discussing the Manager Situation using the same exact words my husband quoted to me ? Maybe this is something they do often? The distraction to steal money and later retrieve it? I decided to write this review to make other customers aware of this..

Food is over priced $2.00 for a single orange food portion do not compensate for the prices a $10.00 sandwich that can fit into your fannypack. I will never shop the there again no matter how hungry I am

Employee of hospital and waited 15+ minutes for a tea. Should prioritize orders of employees who only have short amount of time for breaks

My wife was visiting her very sick father and experienced appalling behavior from Candace. While making snide remarks about my wife, loud enough so she can hear, Candace ensured to let my wife know her name. So I’m guessing Candace is used to acting like an animal without repercussions. So we’ll just put Candace’s behavior on blast here and perhaps Bistro North will take note. The floors and walls are filthy. The food is basic and expensive for what you get. And to top it all off, extremely rude people work here. It’s shocking really because this is a cafe within a hospital.

Decent place for a hospital bistro! The hot food selection was small but nice. The yogurt bowls were good and there were also a good amount of snacks available. My only complaint is the price of some items was quite high but the main meals are reasonable.I wish they had posted their hours online somewhere but I uploaded a pic for future reference. However, note that they stop stocking hot food, bakery, and salad / yogurt bar items at a certain point and just let them run out of stock so the closer to closing you go the less they'll have.

Way overpriced for terrible service and inedible food. Just wasted money but that won’t happen again. Should teach their workers about customer service.

Creative Cuts

Overly priced , long lines. Not enough staff. Some of the food is good, some taste like plastic.
