Beautiful, modern spot with delicious food. I love their wagyu crispy rice, toro sundae, uni pasta, and tuna crispy rice. Their service is great. Dinners are usually busy when I’m there, but I came for lunch on a Saturday and it was very quiet.

We ordered the chef’s special, sashimi special, 2 maki rolls, and 3 miso soups for takeout. I knew we were in trouble as soon as we pulled out the boxes—the portions were incredibly small, the sashimi was cut in an amateur way, and the nigiri was topped with overbearing flavors (like truffle & truffle oil) that made it hard to taste the fish. We sat down and ate the $150 meal in 5 minutes and are still hungry.

The nigiri are good. A bit busy with the garnish. And the price is a bit much for what you get

Forget just eating sushi – Tuna cutting dinner is a whole show. We got to sit right around a whole massive, beautiful tuna while the sushi chef masterfully broke it down. It was seriously artistic to watch him work his magic!

Then came the 10-course sushi dinner, and every single bite was delicious and fresh. It was such a unique way to enjoy a meal. Big shoutout to the manager Jun, who was fantastic, and all the staff were super friendly and made the evening even better.

Second time dining at Kissaki and this time we went for the tuna cutting experience. We sat at a communal table and really enjoyed chatting with the people on either side of us. As the evening went on, it definitely got very noisy with all the ohs and ahs and libations. It was fun, watching a very large tuna being sliced for serving by an expert chef. I wasn’t sure if I would like a full dinner of only tuna however, the way each course of the tasting was prepared was unique. It was absolutely delicious. A fun and lively experience and I’m very glad we did it. Looking forward for Omakase next time we return.

Decently good sushi. Shared two appetizers with two sushi entrees. The fish were fresh and the vibes were good. It’s not bad sushi but slightly on the pricier side.

Disappointing
We have had good meals here before but this one was not! Small portions and food nowhere near up to par for the cost. Crispy spicy tuna and salmon very unappealing to look at and didn’t taste great. Rice was over fried. Scallops were pathetic. Tiny and slightly over cooked with tons of sauce and nothing to put it on since scallops were so small. Sashimi didn’t taste great either. Will not go back again.
