There's a very nice looking room in rear where young children are welcome. Main room is also =very nice looking but can get moderately noisy when full, as it usually is Fri - Sun for dinner. We stayed with Cantonese from the large menu. Lobster, chicken corn soup and snow pea shoots is our usual order and never fails to impress, as does the service and atmosphere. Prices are reasonable considering everything.
I recently visited Pearl East with a friend to celebrate a personal event. My friend had been to this restaurant several times and highly recommended it, so I decided to give it a try—and I’m glad I did!
From the moment we arrived, I was impressed. Pearl East has a humongous parking lot, with free parking both in front and behind the restaurant, including convenient spots for people with disabilities right in front of the entrance. We went for lunch, which is served from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at a fixed price, with plenty of options on the menu.
For appetizers, I ordered fried dumplings, and my friend opted for an egg roll. For our main courses, I had shrimp with mixed vegetables, while my friend chose crispy shredded beef. Both meals came with fried rice, and we also enjoyed tea along with pistachio and strawberry ice cream for dessert. To accompany our meal, I had a glass of Prosecco, and my friend enjoyed a Margarita on the rocks.
While the portions of the appetizers weren't very large, the main courses were generous enough to leave us feeling full and satisfied.
The service was outstanding. Our waiter, Philip, was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. He managed to always be attentive without being intrusive—never missing a sign when we needed him. He was constantly refilling our water glasses, even though we hardly noticed him moving around.
The ambiance of Pearl East is worth mentioning as well. The interior is elegant, with carpeted floors, beautifully arranged tables, and nice touches like cloth napkins. Even the bathroom was well-maintained, with glass doors and a remarkable chandelier that added to the overall experience. The restaurant was clean, quiet, and had a comfortable atmosphere, with enough space between tables for different group sizes. We also noticed security cameras inside, which added a sense of protection.
Overall, I highly recommend Pearl East for anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion or just have a nice lunch while catching up with friends. My experience was delightful from start to finish, and I’m giving this place a well-deserved 5 out of 5. Thank you, Pearl East!

A quiet restaurant with ok food. There are so many options to choose from and the food is not the best, but not terrible. There is also good parking in the back.

5-spice chicken is 10/10. Same with almost everything I’ve ever had from here. Shrimp dumplings are great too.

Expensive but delicious food at this restaurant. I’ve dined in and gotten take out, and both have been consistently good.
It is also notable that this is the only Chinese restaurant in the area that offers gluten-free dishes, which in it of itself is a major plus.

In my opinion, Pearl East is one of the best Chinese restaurants in Long Island, NY. The food is fantastic and the restaurant itself is pleasant and well maintained. We have been a customer there for over 30 years and shall continue to patronize them on a regular basis.
The food was phenomenal. We went with high expectations and left with those expectations being met. At first it did take about 10 minutes to just get our order in because it was busy, but then things started moving. Our server, Joe, did everything he could to make sure we got the best food on the menu and he made us feel so comfortable. Overall I had no complaints and we will surely be back soon!

Waiter was extremely rude. Food was good but waiters attitude made it hard to enjoy meal. Told Cathy the owner and she was apologetic. Been going to pearl east for 30 years but now having second thoughts.
We ordered spare ribs, soup, dumplings sampler and chicken satay for apps... delish!!! I shared the duck- outstanding! Beef and broccoli was a table favorite... fried rice and lomaine were perfect sides. The drink white lotus was the perfect starter if you like coconut... We go to Pearl East often and will continue to go! Keep up the good work!
Food is usually very good here and this time was no exception. Try shrimp dumplings, spareribs, mish mosh and lo mein. My only complaints - been coming here for years and the portions keep shrinking and the prices keep going up.
I've had enjoyable meals at Pearl East many times, but this was not one of them. The food served to each of us was not hot. I ordered Braised Crispy tofu with mushrooms and leeks. It was marked with a star to indicate spicy, which I wanted. What arrived was tofu with a few mushrooms, no discernable leeks, and lots of large chunks of red and green pepper! No hint of spiciness or much of any flavor at all. When I questioned the waiter, he insisted the dish delivered was what I ordered. My friend had asked if there was anything with bamboo shoots, which she loves. The waiter said we can add them to anything. My friend ordered a shrimp dish and asked for added bamboo shoots. The dish came with a pile of bean sprouts, not bamboo shoots. In addition, we were given some vegetable fried rice as an extra but there were large chunks of totally raw onion throughout! On a positive note, when we were about to leave, the owner asked how everything was. Upon hearing of our experience, she insisted on having the kitchen replace my dish and the fried rice, which we took home. It appeared that this second batch was fine so we have dinner for tonight!
We went to eat today. There were a lot of people at noon, so we had to wait for a long time. The waiter's attitude was also very average, and his tone always made us feel uncomfortable. After finishing the meal, it was about 180, and I gave a 20 tip. As soon as I went out, the waiter chased me out and told me that I paid too little and insisted that I pay up to 30. He also told me that you don’t understand that all the rich people in our area will be looked down upon by you. I actually felt like throwing up. Under his force, I changed it to 27. I would like to ask if there is any law in New York that stipulates how much tip must be given? Even the tips on the receipt are suggestion tips. If there is a law in New York clearly stating the tipping standard, then I have nothing to say. The so-called restaurants in wealthy areas are really decent. The waiter in this restaurant ruined my mood for the day. I have no obligation to bear the cost of the service that I did not enjoy. Because this service can be permanently blockedToday went to lunch, noon that burst of a lot of people, waiting for the meal we waited a long time, the waiter attitude is also very general, the tone of voice always feel very uncomfortable. After eating about 180 more, gave a tip of 20. The waiter chased me out of the room and said I gave him a tip of 30, and told me, "You don't understand, we're all rich in this area, and you're going to make people look down on you". I literally had to throw up just listening to it. I was forced to change it to 27. what law is there in New York that says you have to tip a certain amount? Even the tip on the receipt is question tips. If there is a law in New York that explicitly states tipping standards, then I have nothing to say. The so-called rich district restaurant is really decent enough Oh ~ this restaurant waiter ruined my mood of the day, I have no obligation to be responsible for the cost of the service I did not enjoy. Because this service can be add in the block list forever
