Food is good, but the portions are pretty small for what they charge. Also, there's a $35 minimum per person. So you're expected to order a dish that costs $20, get an appetizer, and I guess a drink. I'd go elsewhere.

So disappointed. We go bc they have gluten free & I am celiac. Usually it's fantastic service & food. Not this time. Took forever & our waiter was so rude. So not go on a Sat night. Tooooo crowded & noisy. Usually it's amazing here. Def try it out.

Maybe I am living in 2019 but I found the food prices to be rather high. Portions were not overly generous, either. But what we did get was excellent. Wonton soup was the best I have had anywhere. Scallion pancake tasty but not too greasy, as it can be elsewhere. Chicken and broccoli, orange beef, and lo mein had the rest of my party raving. The dining room was clean and bright (not too bright) and the service impeccable.

Disappointed during this visit to Pearl East. Waiter made more than one mistake in taking our order resulting in a 2 hour dinner for 2 courses. The food was below usual standards; wonton soup was tasteless but eggplant in black bean sauce was very good with lots of mushrooms and snow peas. Grand Marnier shrimp was slathered in sauce that was a bit cloying; I'd order it with sauce ion the side since the shrimp were large and very good. It may be that dining on a holiday eve with a large crowd was partly responsible for the issues above.

In a nutshell, underwhelming. The reservation was for 5pm thinking it would be fairly quiet. Trying to get in to the (valet) parking lot was a major turnoff as it's a narrow entrance and cars leaving take up the whole entrance. On a busy major road it's designed for accidents. The valets do not help in moving either inbound or outbound traffic. It wasn't too busy at 5pm but it soon filled up to capacity with a mass of people blocking the doorway. It didn't matter whether you ordered appetizers, soups or from any other category, they brought out the food in any order they wanted so I ended up in the midst of an appetizer having my main course put on the table. I chose Singapore noodles as they're a favorite from a working experience in the region. Every restaurant has its own version which should make for an interesting dish. In this instance, the ‘heat' came from chili powder. I didn't want chicken so asked for just prawns. A handful were scattered around the edge of the plate and the rather tasteless strips of vegetables / snow peas wherever they might look appealing. It was definitely a different culinary experience. In looking around the diners, it obviously appeals to a certain section of the local affluent community who enjoy that particular Chinese style of food. The prices are not too unreasonable in today's world although they have succumbed to the latest restaurant game of adding 3% to the ‘cash priced' check if you use a charge card. On leaving, the valet service was even slower than at entry as was clearing the chaos of cars not being able to move in or out coupled with a line of cars wanting to enter backed up on Northern Blvd.

Pearl East has a full bar with a variety of specialty drinks. Blackened Tuna is my husband's favorite starter. The Pan Seared Pork Pot Stickers and Roast Pork Tenderloin are great starters as well. Today we ordered the Seafood Oriental Mish Mash and an order of Beef Fried Rice. Everything was fresh and delicious. The Pistachio Ice Cream adds that perfect ending to your meal and of course, they have the best Chocolate Fortune Cookies in town!!

My partner and I have ordered twice from this restaurant. The first time was a good experience, so we got take out again. This time around, we both started to develop GI symptoms of bloating, diarrhea, and chills within 6 hours of consuming the food. We were otherwise healthy prior. When my partner called to ask for a refund, the *owner* got on the phone and gaslit her for 5 minutes stating that's it's impossible for us to be sick from their food since it wasn't greater than 24 hours. That's garbage and blatantly *false*. Food borne illness can occur within 30 minutes depending on the bacteria contaminating the food. I'm an MD and she's a nutritionist - **we KNOW what food borne illness is**. We ended up getting the refund, but apparently the owner has a medical degree to make such ridiculous statements. Will NEVER order from there again. Thanks for the gaslight. Much appreciated. 1 star.

We had the calamari For appetizer, plus we had pork on the stick we had fried rice Thai fried rice was disgusting. We had The whole fish fried it was only sugar sauce on the fish. It was the worst thing I ever tasted. Never complained going to that place. First time everything is downhill I give it she probably changed the chef and the quality of the food is horrible

My recent visit to Pearl East was a delightful surprise in the world of Chinese dining. This spot offered a genuinely enjoyable experience that left me thoroughly satisfied. The Boneless Spare Ribs stole the show, a perfect harmony of sweet and savory, charred to perfection. The Soup Dumplings were a simple yet flavorful treat, and the Noodles, both Don Don and Curry, hit the spot in terms of taste and texture. The Eggplant dish deserves a nod for its delicious execution, a must for anyone craving a vege friendly dish. The service at Pearl East was top-notch, with waitstaff that was not only excellent but also attentive to our needs. The owner personally greeted patrons, radiating kindness and creating a welcoming atmosphere that added to the overall dining experience. The ambiance at Pearl East is a delightful fusion of modern chic and traditional elegance. The tasteful décor created an inviting atmosphere that complemented the exquisite flavors on the menu.In short, Pearl East is a solid choice for those craving quality Chinese cuisine.

We love the food here. This place usually gives great portions and serves hot tea as part of the appetizers. We’ve been going for over a year and it’s not a typical Chinese spot. It’s usually packed if you go during the evenings, so you may need a reservation (especially on weekends).Highly recommend if you want a nice date night without going over the top.
