I had asked the hostess for a certain table , she said it was only for 3 people not 2 . As soon as she seated us at another table she sat 2 people at the table I wanted. I was furious. So the hostess lied to us and the manager of the restaurant didn't care one bit when I spoke to him . The manager also lied to us . As far as I'm concerned he doesn't really care about his patrons . He was so dismissive to us. I will Never go there again.
This was our first time at Allesandros and we'll be coming back. Ny wife and i both enjoyed our meals. We shared a pasta with pink sauce for an app and it was delicious. For a main course we both ordered from the Specials menu and my wife had the Dover Sole and i had the chicken scarpariello, which had chicken medallions, sausage and hot peppers. Delicious. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her meal - which was delicate abd very tasty. We concluded with some very tasty gelato. The room was fairly open with tables relatively close to each other. People were very friendly and there seems to be a number of regulars. Overall - a very good meal with great service - professional, attentive/quick, and kind. We'll be back for more!
Went there with my wife for our anniversary and every thing was fantastic from the service to the food!! We will be returning!!
This was our first dining experience here to celebrate my better half's birthday. We just returned from Italy a month ago and it exceeded our expectations! The staff was attentive and friendly, the owner came by to speak with us about our experience and was oblivious how much he cared about every aspect. I'm looking forward to returning and bringing friends!
The food is amazing, the service is great and the renovation makes it much more cozy and gives the restaurant more ambiance.
I love Sandros food and think it's a cutes spot. I hype it up to all of my friends and have been for a while now. My girlfriends and I had a nice experience until the very end. The waiter said we had to go ASAP so if we wanted dessert or coffee we had to order right away and it felt extremely rushed. I've never had that experience at a restaurant. Our res. was for a Saturday night at 6:00 pm. We ordered plenty of food, bottles of water and wine. They took quite some time before serving our main course and rushed at the last second to mention the option of coffee and dessert to us close to 8pm. We did not over extend our stay by any means. The timing was just not orchestrated very well on their end and sadly it made a poor impression on 2 of my Italian friends that I was showing the place to for the first time. I understand that it was a Saturday night and its a small place but would have loved to have felt less rushed so that a better impression could have been made.
The good is great and you are treated like family!!!! Been there many times and always a really great experience
Best Italian food in METRO New York, including Long Island, Queens and Manhattan. Thye fresh home made pastas, great Chicken, Veal and Fish Dishes. Portions are good, but the key is the quality and taste of all their food choices. GIve yourself enough time to book your table, 2-4 weeks in some cases, depeding on the day.
We love everything about Allesandro's—the ambiance, the food, the cocktails, and the wait staff are all the best! The owner, Sandro, is warm and welcoming to everyone. The food is absolutely outstanding; I've never had anything that was anything less than amazing.
Everything was absolutely delicious—from the appetizers to our main courses to the dessert. The flavors and presentation were spot-on. The service was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Can't wait to go back!

Excellent food and very good service. Food was slow to come out but servers were attentive
We had to take an early reservation at 6:30 pm but was happy in the end as when we left there seemed to be more people waiting to be seated then diners eating. Will think twice before booking a normal time for dinner here.
This is a very very very vibrant and rather noisy place, bustling, very busy. If you want to come here to have a good meal in the presence of a ton of fellow diners celebrating, laughing, kids running around - this is your place. If you want to come here to relax and have a quiet dinner - you will struggle. This is a family place with a ton of people coming to eat a homey Italian/Sicilian meal, well-prepared and arranged. No-fuss, a good quality meal with good olive oil, fairly priced wines (no one was drinking wine when we were there, mostly cocktails which is strange in an Italian resto). We were told that the chef is from Sicily and his cooking indeed shows that. You will find a lot of good quality pasta dishes (not sure if the chef makes it on-prem) but al-dente it was with good cheese, accouterments, etc. It was a pleasure. The appetizers were nice as well. priced appropriately, delivering a good quality intro to the dinner meal. Out waiter was a very nice young gentleman, very patient, polite, provided good suggestions from his viewpoint, was forthcoming - everything you want from a waiter in a busy place. The food came relatively fast, the servers were flying back and forth moving food and empty dishes quickly and efficiently, if briskly. My double-espresso at the end of the meal was appropriately hot and flavorful. Overall, it was a good evening for what it was worth. Kudos to everyone who delivered a good meal with a Formula1-like efficiency and speed. I wish it were calmer and quieter for the meal to be more enjoyable.
Best pasta I've had in any Italian restaurant in Long Island. Homey atmosphere. Fresh mozzarella was amazing as well
Tried Alessandro’s this evening for the first time and I would highly recommend it! Everything was wonderful, the food and service was delightful!
