This is the best Italian on Long Island and probably better than anywhere in Manhattan. Their pasta is unbelievable . the seafood is to die for, and everything is just cooked to perfection. Highly recommend this to anyone.

There are tons of Italian restaurants in NY, however very few make pasta correctly as it tastes in Italy. Alessandro's get the texture and taste consistently right. The food was excellent, slightly pricey but good in value/portion size. The place is a bit small and nothing outstanding in terms of atmosphere. Service was very good and staff were friendly. I plan to come back, and would advise to make a reservation since the place is small.

I’ve taken my father here a few times. It has become our favorite place to have dinner. The owner Sandro and his staff are very welcoming and always make us feel at home. The food never disappoints and is always consistent. Their roasted artichoke, arugula salad, and baked clams are our favorite appetizers to order.

Staff and food was amazing. Everything was delicious and the wait staff we had we wonderful. However, we got asked to leave after 2 hours, which was fine, but it was the way the owner handled it after we inquired about the 2 hour limit, which was new to us. Other than the owners reaction to our inquiry, the place is excellent. So we have 5 stars for everything else but 1 star for the owners poor response to one of their customers inquiry. Zero problem with the 2 hour limit bc we understand why places have to do this, but there is a proper way to handle it.

Unbelievable meal with my fiance from the chicken parm, penne ala vodka to all the home made pastas my go toooo!!!
Have been coming here for some time and is still on the top of my list. The best pasta I ever had and the grilled veal chop is killer. They just updated the interior and it’s absolutely beautiful and quiet. Book a reservation in advance it is a busy place.
Dietary restrictions: Wife has gluten sensitivity and my son has a peanut allergy. This place has great homemade pasta, including gluten-free homemade pasta, which is out of this world. Most of the desserts are made there as well, which made it very safe for my son to pick one. Staff was very helpful with both the allergies they hit it out of the park.
