Hands down one of my favorite Restaurants in NY. A go-to place when you want quality and good fast service. Food never disappoints and is consistent. Favorites would be the crispy rice with spicy tuna, toku fries, chicken fried rice with egg on top & sesame chicken. Would recommend!

Great place but if the management and service have their way, they'll have you out of there in 30 minutes with a $200 check — in an effort to provide great service—They are up your ... food is excellent
I love eating a lot, sushi is a good restaurant to eat with friends, the staff is very friendly and attentive.

Best Asian cesear salad hands down. Great service and even better sushi. Toku is always a great experience. These guys know how to run a great restaurant. The combination of great food and a great atmosphere always make for a great experience.

Hostess is extremely rude and cold with us. My husband and I are regular costumers we go there weekly. Yet every time we go she’s always looking for an excuse to come and comment on something we are doing whether we are wearing a hat talking on the phone or just simply rude and cold even when it comes to where we want to sit. At this point we don’t want to come to Toku anymore.
We try to go for a late lunch, about 2 pm, so we can get a comfortable side booth and stay for awhile. Ambiance is great, service wonderful, food delicious. Love it!!!
The waiter ruined our dinner. It took him 10 mins to acknowledge us when we sat down, no apology offered. Then took another 10 mins to bring our drinks. Again, no acknowledgment from waiter. I had to complain to management. You would have thought they'd comp an appetizer or dessert. Nope. Nothing. Food was average. This went from being one of my favorite restaurants, but I will no longer frequent or support it. There are a ton of better choices. Skip this one.
Always is a good choice for me to choose Toku, food impeccable, ambience excellent and service beyond my expectations..!!
Service was poor and inattentive. Food was mediocre for the price. Fried rice has no flavor. It's white rice with a scrambled egg on top and some veggies. No taste. Another diner near us sent theirs back to the kitchen. Been going there for years but the last few times the food was a disappointment.
The female manager of the restaurant this weekend, and was so rude (so proud of her authority as a manager, while she flirted with people at the bar showing absolutely no interest in those which were dining), and my Wife and I were shocked to have her make such awful remarks about her bosses in such a disparaging way, as I know them both, and they are wonderful and fantastic people, both personally and professionally. Shame on her!

Everything was amazing. The food the service were perfect. The host was rude and couldn't even look us in the eye when we showed up and showed us to our table. I guess I'm not a rich north shore person but that's what it felt like to walk in. Other than that the staff was amazing and very nice. They need a new nicer host or he needs hospitality lessons on how to treat something when they walk in especially since it was my birthday and was looking forward to a nice lunch with my daughter
Really liked the chicken salad and three hand roll. Things were forgotten in the order but made up for later. Sensha tea was good.

My family and I came here for lunch, drawn in by the lively atmosphere and the abundance of outdoor seating. The service was attentive and polished, consistent with what you’d expect from a fine dining establishment.
Unfortunately, the experience didn’t quite live up to the setting. We were seated toward the back of the restaurant and dealt with an ongoing issue of fruit flies and other insects, which made the meal less enjoyable.
As for the food, it was underwhelming given the premium price point. I ordered the Wagyu steak (medium), which was precut and served with neatly stacked fries. Presentation aside, it was one of the most mediocre steaks I’ve had—when I can prepare a better one at home, that’s not a good sign. The sushi rolls were average, the crispy rice was just okay, and the tuna pizza, while tasty, lacked that “wow” factor. The lunch prix fixe menu was serviceable but forgettable; the Pad Thai noodles, in particular, were disappointing, especially considering I’ve had far better versions at a fraction of the cost in Flushing.
Overall, while the service and ambiance were positives, the food quality and value simply weren’t there. For the price, I expected a much more memorable experience. Sadly, I won’t be returning.

Toku is the best sushi and never go without ordering the sticky rice with tuna appetizer. Always delicious and worth the cost. Best place for special occasions AND everyday dining.
