Hidden Gem! I'm really not one to ever bother leaving reviews like this, but this place has made a very big impression on me where I can't say enough good about them. My favorite thing on their menu is the Chicken Riggie's and I mean it when I tell you that they are hands down THE BEST chicken or sausage Riggie's I have ever had anywhere. It's a very generous portion for only $12 buck's. I'm a big guy and I can't even finish the portion that they give me in one sitting.. Everything I've tried on their menu is awesome! I've actually considered not even grocery shopping anymore and just eating there on a daily basis. A very close family friend of mine introduced this place to me over the summer and I've been hooked ever since. She goes to this place literally almost every day for lunch and gets the Margarita Panini sandwich. I just highly recommend this place Ive already brought many diff friends of mine and my dad as well to go there and made sure they all tried the chicken Riggie's and they all agree with me that they are incredible! The owner and his wife are very friendly, down to earth, just great people, they've done such a great job with the place and I believe anybody that goes there will agree that its the cat's pajama's!

Fantastic spot! Owner is top notch! I called last night around 4:45pm to place a pickup order and didn’t realize he closed at 5. He still took my order even though it was so close to closing time. When I got there he was amazing and we had a great conversation while he finished up my order.

Thank you again!

Best pulled pork sandwich around (better than Dino bbq)

The best cuban sandwich and lasagna soup I've ever had. While being all run by one person, they were exceptionally gracious and accommodating, Their dining area was beautifully set up/laid out. If you're passing through, it's worth making a special detour.

The best turkey sandwich I have ever had. The chef smokes his meats. The sandwich is sooooo good. The riggies (pasta dish) also delicious.

Hands down the best place to eat whenever I'm in town. I love the hot chicken and hot sausage riggies. Many options to choose from and fairly priced. Great owner who's humble and down to earth. Great conversation. I highly recommend!

My husband and I went for lunch. It was fantastic. The Cuban was the best I have had in the area! My husband really enjoyed his turkey sandwich! We will definitely go back!

Absolutely amazing!
Cafe Jarosz is such a treat, perfectly located close to Great State Park—making it the ideal stop before or after a day outdoors. The food is fresh, flavorful, and made with care (their paninis are a must-try!). The service is just as impressive—friendly, attentive, and quick, making you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. The cozy, inviting atmosphere ties it all together. Can’t wait to come back!

Me and the family changed our original plans for lunch today, and stopped at Cafe Juan today around 2pm!

It's mostly a one man crew, but the customer service was stellar!

The food was fantastic as well!
I ordered Hot Chicken Riggies with high hopes and low expectations.
My wife ordered Mac and Cheese with BBQ Pork on top
My son ordered plain Mac and Cheese
We shared an order of Pretzel Sticks

The Riggies were the best I've had since I lived in Rome! Come to find out that dude is from Utica himself, home of the best Riggies in the state!

I tried my wife's Mac and pork, which was pretty fire too. The pork was smoked and full of flavor, with plenty of BBQ sauce added. The Mac was pretty good too! Not the best I've had, but I also like a real cheesy and thicker Mac and Cheese. My wife enjoyed hers though!

My son liked his food too, though he didn't finish for no reason that matters here.

The pretzel sticks were super good! Warm and fluffy and whatever dipping sauce he gave us, was tasty. Different but tasty. It was a little zesty maybe? But it was good!

Soda cans were $2 a piece also.

He had his kids chillin in the dining area which I thought was pretty cool. That shows the friendly family vibe he's going for, and it works!

It also has an art store next door, a Bar/barn next door, and I was told there is glass blowing down stairs on the weekends along with a flea market!

All in all the experience was awesome! I'll definitely be going back for them Riggies! And he is open year round!

We went to this place on 4th of July. Everything was closed except for this during lunch . The owner was sweet and receiving . I got a chicken sandwich and my goodness it was so delicious. The owner made the sandwiches himself , they were so fresh!
He was so sweet and we had a really good conversation. Would definitely recommend this place if you wanna enjoy a delicious meal!

Run, don't walk, to get this delish food! We had homemade riggies, and while it was our first experience with riggies (out of staters!), any other restaurant will have a high bar to be as good as these. We also had the homemade mac, which is so rich and not dry at all. And the smoked turkey panini with cranberry mayo and arugula.....The turkey wasn't just deli meat like you find everywhere else -- it is full on turkey breast smoked by the owner himself. You owe it to your taste buds to give this place a try! Best of all, the prices won't break the bank and the portions are generous! Grab some food here and then head over to the brewery next door with indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely a 5 star experience that we just happened to get lucky picking as we passed through!
