This place is amazing. They own a bigger restaurant in canastota ( La Bamba MTZ ). This is a smaller mostly to go restaurant but they have tables and you are welcome to stay and eat. The family that owns it is so friendly, although there aren’t many workers there it’s because it’s a small family business. I can’t say enough wonderful things about the food and friendliness of the owners. I felt so welcome and the food was so very authentic. I got my favorite, tamales, and they were the best and BIGGEST I’d ever had. The Birria meat is so delicious. I got it on nachos and it was a great decision.As far as the atmosphere, it really wasn’t my thing. Its bright yellow inside, colorful, with only a few tables. We ordered a birria quesadilla, elote and mangonadas. All delicious!! I really wanted horchata and something sweet with the tamarind sticks but they said they were all out. Huge bummer as we love both of those things. I hope business picks up well enough to be fully stocked in the future
