The wait staff was very friendly and efficient. LWe loved how they all worked as a team. It's a great local restaurant with consistently good food. Their Mediterranean lemon chicken was very tasty with great atmosphere on a cold night.

Not family friendly and do not stick to reservations. We called ahead and they took our name and number, but when they saw our party or 6 consisted of four children they said that they no longer had any space left. When we called and made the reservation they said “we can definitely seat a table of 6”. We haven’t eaten here in a couple of years so decided to give it another try and was shocked how bad the experience was before we even had the chance to sit down. When I talked to the manager he said there was nothing he could do as a full table of 6 people right behind him finished and walked out. He said if we wait another 20 minutes then maybe he could seat us. It would’ve been great if they called us back and told us they gave our table away so that we could plan somewhere else to eat for our family.

Stopped by on a Friday night for dinner. Cocktails were excellent as were the Roots greens. Meatloaf and Haddock were also very good. The waitstaff work as a team which was well done.

Scenic Root has a delicious menu with a nice variety of dishes. They recently added gluten free pasta to their menu. I had a gf chicken marsala that was divine. Their take out packaging is well designed and maintains the flavor well. Dining in is am enjoyable experience I recommend doing as well. During 2020, Scenic Root handled the changes extremely well and did an amazing job transitioning to go to orders. I am very grateful to them for the tasty memories my family could make at home!

Not quite fining dining but upscale casual. Menu changes with the seasons. Summer menu was nice I just prefer the Fall/winter style. But great service and a very cozy atmosphere. Worth a trip.

Clam special was amazing!! Caesar salad is so favorable. Drew behind the bar is a goddang pleasure and has a beautiful love and light disposition. I come here every time I visit the Cuse.

Stumbled upon this gem by accident while passing through town. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and the food was delicious. We ordered salad, salmon and a sandwich all were made with fresh ingredients that were paired by a skilled chef. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

I come here once in a while. The food is good. It’s generally a good place with good people. With a limited menu that can also be a good thing, Go. If you have been considering, it’s worth a visit. Little, local restaurants like this are a dying breed we will really only miss after they are gone.
