I went in to see if there's a table and wifi for me to sit but there's no seating. The cake I got was really good, u can tell it's home made, but 10 dollars for a small piece? That's too much (my finger for comparison after I ate a piece of it, different pic is actual size).

I had a hankering for some babka, and I am glad I took a little ride to Maspeth! Old-fashioned, Polish bakery with fresh, excellent babka and other treats. Nice young ladies too!

I've been to this bakery a few times, the first time I had a very pleasant lady who was super nice to me but the last threes times, including today I had the same lady serve me. She always seems to have an attitude when I'm there, never smiles or even bother to look at me when I'm ordering. I don't know if is because of the color of my skin but to me it seems like it bother's her to serve me. Today I told myself that I will never return because of that lady, as I was driving away I open my coffee to let it cool off because and I find a dead fly swimming in my coffee. A coincidence, I don't know either way it's gross and I will never go back again!

I have fond memories of eating cheese Babka bread from my Polish great-grandmother during Easter. I was originally so excited to find this spot and traveled from an hour away. I called ahead of time to make sure there would be some when I arrived. Not only was there no sweet cheese Babka bread, but I was met with an attitude when I asked questions about when the bread might be ready for pick up later that day. While I am a Polish, my family never spoke Polish and I never picked it up and I was quite upset when I noticed how well Polish speaking bakery-goers were treated compared to me. I can’t recommend Babka Bakers.Rather, go to Syrena Bakery. I went there and found the exact Babka I wanted in a kind, old school environment. I can’t recommend Syrena Bakery enough.

Do not buy here! Everything tastes like and old fridge and feels like it's been sitting there for weeks! Disgusting! Filling in pastries especially eclairs was so old it was hard on the sides . Girls working there are very nice but I've been lied to when I asked if products are fresh. Don't waste your money on this place and their "artisan home made" bread that is raw inside and tastes like crap. Plenty of bakeries in town who actually know how to make a bread that is not overpriced mush I tried to give this place two chances and it failed both times, boo.

Babka is the best bakery in town. The bread and pastries are always fresh. My husband buys plenty here every weekend. Our favorite is the cheesecake and the sunflower loaf. I totally disagree with one of the reviewers this place is not racist! I'm Hispanic, my husband and I shop here all the time with no issue. We love it! Keep making fresh delicious pastries and you'll always have loyal customers!
