So, I popped into this place on my way back from Queens to Brooklyn. I was trying to wait out the traffic on the BQE. I had two eggs over medium, turkey bacon, home fries and toast. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to do the pancakes but resigned to deciding once I finished the first segment of my meal. The waitress was very polite and conversational. I decided to go with the pancakes and I wasn’t disappointed. They are thick and fluffy and I recommend giving them a try. Very happy with the dining experience. Prices are reasonable as well.

Finally, we found a great diner in Maspeth! I ordered the California omelet, and my son chose his usual Belgian waffle with bacon, as he does at every diner we visit. His only complaint was that the waffle was slightly dry, and the syrup did not taste like maple syrup. It seemed like a generic syrup. The waffle itself had a good flavor, but it could have been fluffier and served with the appropriate syrup.
The home fries were the best I've had in a long time! They were cooked with the perfect amount of peppers and onions. My omelet was cooked to perfection and had the ideal balance of mushrooms, avocado, and cheddar cheese. The rye toast was also excellent, with just the right amount of melted butter.
The coffee was also delicious and hit the spot. I can't wait to return for lunch and bring more of my family with me!
**update** have gone back twice for lunch. The grilled chicken greek paining with fries and the burgers are sooooo good. My son loves their philly cheese. Can't wait to try something new my next visit.

Food: great portions, great tasting Service: above and beyond. Friendly and attentive without hovering! Staff in general: what is the next step up from excellent? They have it there in spades!! Recommend to everyone and anyone looking for a comfy, friendly atmosphere!

I liked it when I arrived in this neighborhood 7 yrs ago as "jrs dinner". As they remodeled and changed management, it seems to have kept its vintage essence. We went there for a quick brunch (we lived down in the same block) and we loved it. As someone who has worked in the food service industry, I know how important it is to recognize people's efforts and support local businesses. Mia was very kind and sweet and everyone is very attentive. We also had lunch with my kid today and portions and presentation as well as flavor was great! Catalina was our server today and she was also very kind and attentive. Thanks and keep up the good work!

I live on Long island. Surrounded by Diners. I've been going to Diners for 40 years and this is the first Diner that does over medium eggs correctly. The pancakes were so tasty. I'm glad I came here for breakfast. What a great experience from food to employees.

What a wonderful addition to the neighborhood. Teddy and Danielle were so warm and welcoming. They made my children and myself feel like family. We have since went back twice, and Teddy remembered us all by name. The food is always awesome, and they are so accommodating if you want to make special requests or substitutions. We will be frequent customers for sure!
