Service is apathetic. Three counter girls and yet I find myself repeating what I'm saying and no one speaking back. Saw them make faces to eachother as I asked about the pastries while I chose. They do not have any customer service acumen. They don't make eye contact. They don't speak to you. Then when you talk they don't hear you because they're not even looking at you! It's hilarious how BAD the service was today. Well, glad i gave it a try. Also, the cookies are tasteless. Seems like the choco dipped cookies are a watered or waxed down version of chocolate that they are dipped in. They don't taste like chocolate at all. And they taste like their refrigerators need some Arm & Hammer. Take a bite, you'll taste a weeks worth of stale air from inside of Russo's Bakery!

great soda bread , bad service lady working there doesn't speak English so it was hard to communicate and she had a attitude . when I asked her to grab me a pound of rainbow cookies she started grabbing them with no gloves I find this disgusting very unprofessional , never going back.....

Stopped by three times in the last four months (my Mon lives in Maspeth) and other than the insanely Priced pignoli cookies ($35/pound) a everything else there is inedible. The cookies , the pastry, the cakes, the muffins are all disgusting . The rainbow cookies taste like an orange , the cannoli seemed carbonated/ fizzy The twist bread is ok /good No other options in the area

DIGUSTING! Found hair in my cheesecake, not once but TWICE! I thought I'd give them a second chance and it happened again! Both times they refused to admit that it was them and instead said it was our hair even though we don't have blonde hair and it was literally inside the cake cooked within. NASTY! UNACCEPTABLE! Will never return.

its really hard to find sugar free pastries in new york. but they do. they really do! for the person who love cookies but hate sugar, this is the best spot!!!!!!! and the the young lady who work in the front was soooo nice. if she didn’t tell me those sugar free cookies i wouldn’t know!

I love Russo's. It's a bit out of the way for me, but the bread and selection of desserts never disappoints. 10/10. Do yourself a favor and go at least once. The staff is friendly and even the customers im line are nice to chit chat with while you wait!I usually get one of the small, square cakes for the evening to have with my coffee. Maybe a cannoli. Everything I've tried here has been good so far.

I went to the bakery to buy pastries for my wife. I was extremely polite but the woman working there had a bad attitude and was behaving as if she was doing me a favor. well I was doing her a favor and especially since I was the only person in there. I was wearing. a my veteran hat and tee shirt. guess she doesn't like veterans, especially Iraqi freedom vets. won't be back again

Nice local bakery. Fresh desserts.Fresh baked breads. This institution has been around for a few decades. They have another satellite outlet in Ridgewood I believe. Only downside is they are little pricey in comparison when it comes to pastries. And it's not you get what you pay for in this case. There are plenty of yummy bakeries in the areas (Joe's on Metropolitan) and Continental (grand avenue) that charge 10-20% less. However, we like their Seminole rolls for sandwiches so we will continue to buy them It is what it is.

Russo's used be good but with many places using cheaper ingredients ever since Covid, you can tell it's not good as they used to be. They are decent enough but not someplace to go out of your way for.
