Kept hearing about the “French Toast Sensation” from this place and had to try it for myself! I’m glad I did because it was amazing!!!
Overall the Mexican fare they offer sets this place apart from the typical diner and makes it a place to definitely go out of the way to visit this diner as a place to eat!

I order delivery from here about once a week and it's always great. Delivery is fast and the food is hot and fresh. Their delivery driver Jamie is great, incredibly kind and courteous. One of my favourite diners in NYC.

I am not sure why this place don't have a five star review, because the food, drinks and hospitality was excellent. Yes the place is out dated but what better way to enjoy the original look with awesome service. Reverses a fancy place with bad service.

I haven’t been to this diner in person but from what I get every time I order, I can tell that the service in person must be great. This has to be the only place where they take such good care and attention packing your food. The food was delicious. Kudos to the chef and staff ?

Just ate breakfast at The City Diner......I used to eat here for many years prior to 2020, and, just never went back. Well.....the place was very clean: tables, seats, floor. It's been repainted and decorated since. They have taken down the outside dining tent so all in all an excellent atmosphere. Menu is extensive and prices reasonable. The server was very attentive, but not overly so. He did an excellent job. Our food order came in a very reasonable time and was very tasty. My son had the farmer's omelet which he said was a good size with a good amount of meat, plenty of home fries and toast. I had the buttermilk pancakes, very generous portion, had to take the unfinished ones to go. Finally tea and coffee were HOT, just the way they should be, and we were given a refill without asking. All in all I will definitely eat here again when I am back in Maspeth, and let all my friends in the area know what a great place this diner is to eat.
The manager was very funny. The food was fine. They had a pending rating which was hard for me to mentally get past.

We waited almost 20 min before being approached by the server. The food took twice as long and now have been waiting at least 20 min for the bill. Had to ask 2 different waiters and 3 plates of food qith juice almost 90 dollars . Unfortunately will not be coming back

HORRIBLE DELIVERY SERVICE called them twice to not ring the bell because of my dogs and they come and first thing they do is ring the bell Second they over charge please check receipts and make sure they not scamming everyone.
