In town from out of state and came in last night for dinner and I was surprised to see there was live entertainment. The performers were great Elvis, Kenny Rogers and Barbara Streisand. Food was excellent. We had penne vodka and a gnocchi dish and they were humongous portions. Also had garlic knots which were the best I’ve ever had. Our waitress was very sweet. Id said that I wished I could have eaten pizza too since I miss ny pizza and she sent us home with a few slices. Will definitely return next time we come back to ny.

The pizza is not all that tasty aside from the oil used to cook it.The dough and sauce are bland.Tried the ricotta spinach slice which was good reheated but it was mostly due to the garlic and oily dough that made it crispy after reheating at home.Pizza also seems to be cooked on a wire rack cook marks on the bottom of the pizzas.It’s ok pizza but the location and large seating room is good for highs school kids.

Visit Date: December 27, 2023My friend Dave G, who runs Top Shelf Karaoke just got a gig here so for two weeks in a row I have stopped by Sgambati's to eat pizza and do karaoke.The staff is very friendly and if you have a foodie card you get 20% off. The pizza place itself is very spacious which is good for the karaoke. Last night I bought my son and he loved the french fries. My 7 year old is a french fry connoisseur.The food is great, last night I had the olive slice, you could taste the olives but they tasted good and garlic knots which had a good amount of oil but I like oil. The week before I got a cappuccino and dessert, I had their cinnamon dessert knots.I'm pleased with Sgambati's and I hope Dave can have a long time gig here!

Extremely disappointed in this restaurant and the slice app they use. I attempted to order food from a local restaurant in Wisconsin, and the Slice app allowed me to order through a restaurant with the same name in New York. Once I identified that it I was clearly unable to pick up the order neither the restaurant or the Slice app would refund my money. In the end both the Slice app and the restaurant benefit and the consumer is penalized. Disappointed neither the restaurant or the app have tools in place to prevent orders like this. Appears this was not the first time and probably won't be the last. Again both the app and the restaurant will benefit.**The restaurant responded and claims that I was refunded. That is inaccurate, I did not receive a refund.**
Me and my fiancé had dinner there on Saturday, the food was amazing & the staff was so friendly! Our waitress was so nice she really made our meal special. We’ll definitely be back!

So I really wanted to like this place. It’s right around the block from me and I went back 3 times very optimistic. Now i’m not saying the pizza is terrible, it’s not. In fact, they have a lot of really cool specialty slices to which I’ve heard great things about. I tried the regular 3 times and had the same experience. Always a huge slice which isn’t a bad thing, first observation is too much sauce and not enough cheese. The staff and atmosphere were both very nice, I like the chiefs art on the windows. I just can’t compare this regular to a gino’s or an umbertos. No hate, only constructive criticism, and I do wish the best for this place, like I said I wanted to like it. One thing I will say is the size of the slice does not make up for the quality. The crust was good and it wasn’t floppy, but the sauce kind of tasted like jar sauce and it was very greasy. Just a very very average slice. Wouldn’t recommend this. Would love to see them turn it around.

Walked in off the street yesterday as it was the first time I’d been in the area recently and this restaurant was new to me. I was greeted immediately as I walked in and met one of the owners Damian. He walked me through their offerings and gave me insight into some unique options available. My kids loved the cheese pizza, my wife enjoyed the Sicilian alla vodka, and I tried their Hot wings and a creation made by Damian’s sister, sadly I forgot to get the name of the slice. He also explained to me that they were trying out a new breakfast pizza on pancake crust. Everything was very good and I enjoy the fact that they are still experimenting and trying out new flavor combinations. The staff was super friendly and personable. We’ll be back for sure.
