Had an amazing time, an absolutely phenomenal meal, and heard some fantastic comics at Brasserie by Chef Aless comedy night! It’s in Massapequa right off Merrick road. Highly recommend this restaurant, every time we eat there the food is amazing. Must try items on the menu: mussels, french onion soup, wedge salad, any steaks they are making, branzino, even the burger and fries! Pat the bar tender is the man and makes the best cocktails. All the staff is super friendly and the owners are amazing people.

In a word -- consistent. Happy to say that we haven't had a bad experience. Fantastic staff, food and beverages.

First time at restaurant. Didn't meet expectations for a French Brasserie. Thought they'd have been on tap, only had bottled beer. For the service, the host was very friendly, shook our hands when we arrived and when we left. Was chatty. The waitress though seemed distracted and wasn't that attentive. Food was decent. Some of my scallops were tough but my wife's lamb was very good. Not sure if I'd go back.

Dinner was excellent, the jazz band was wonderful and the ambience was inviting. We were celebrating our 26th anniversary.

We love this restaurant! We have been several times for dinner and brunch and have never been disappointed. Our waiter Evin was great and the food never disappoints.

This is a hidden gem in Massapequa Park. The food is outstanding, the drinks are made very well, and the service is great. The rosemary hanger steak, coq au vin, and bouillabaisse are my go to. But everything on the menu is exceptional.

My third time eating here... great food and atmosphere. Chicken cordon bleu is deliciously different. Rosemary Hanger steak is perfect. In the mood for a Burger? Best burger in town...excellent.

The ambiance was perfect for a nice intimate dinner with my wife. The service was phenomenal and definitely the best part of the restaurant. The food was good. We will be back soon!

Very nice restaurant with a pleasant Parisian décor. The menu was diverse with different options, but not overwhelming. Food was excellent and portions were big (expected portions to be smaller as with other French restaurants). Drinks were amazing! Not too strong, but strong enough.... simply delicious. Escargots was delicious, and oil was great for bread dipping. Beef Bourguignon was tender with plenty of sauce. Mussels were big, fresh, and in a lite sauce (could use a big more garlic). They are also child friendly in terms of menu.... The kids burger was huge and properly cooked as requested. We were there on Wed night, so it was quite. The Wed pre-fix menu was also a great option. Overall a great experience, and will definitely come back.

Had a fabulous dinner celebrating a special occasion at Brasserie. The food, service, and ambience were outstanding. The owner walked around then ding room and greeted all the patrons.

I've been to Brasserie many times where both the food and service were outstanding. However, we went during restaurant week and both the food and service were disappointing. I ordered the mussels as an appetizer and a third of the shells were empty, and the deviled eggs appetizer was a very small portion with a surcharge. The pasta main entree dish was very bland and flavorless. We didn't have an opportunity to relay our concerns to the server since they never came back to check on us. Hopefully this was just one bad experience.

We visited for restaurant week after finding their menu on the LIRW website. They had what we considered strong offerings for restaurant week and we were not let down. We were greeted by the owner when we walked in who seemed genuinely happy that we were there. The inside of the cafe has a pretty good French feel. Our waiter came over and explained the regular menu as well as offering the restaurant week menu. We ordered a wine and a mocktail - the latter of which was really really good. For food we had appetizers of the mussels and a French onion soup. My wife said the mussels were good and the waiter even brought over more bread to soak up the sauce. The onion soup was excellent. They even honored my burn the cheese request - fantastic. For dinner we both had the rosemary marinated hanger steak with tomato jam, shallots and potato gratin. This was by far the star of the night and one of the best steak mains I've had in a LONG time. The steak had an amazing sear on it but it was still a perfect medium rare. The tomato jam and shallot sauce is was in was next level - probably would have made shoe leather tatse good. The potato gratin it came with was also really good. For dessert we had a chocolate cake and a lemon tart - both were good. Not extraordinary, but a very solid offering. Overall it was a great meal with great service. We will definitely be back to hopefully try other dishes - but that steak will probably win again.

Forget about eating mussels any where else! On a recent Tuesday evening the mussels meunière were scrumptious! Ambiance is always relaxing and the service welcoming. Go and enjoy.

Brasserie by Chef Aless exceeded every expectation—elegant, intimate, and deeply rooted in classic French cuisine. The star of the night was the Coquilles Saint-Jacques, perfectly seared scallops served in a luscious, buttery sauce that was rich without being heavy. Every element on the plate was thoughtful and balanced, capturing the soul of traditional French cooking with refined execution. The ambiance was warm and stylish, and the service was impeccable—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. They serenaded me with “Happy Birthday” over a delectable Lemon Tart. Very refreshing to have a such great French place on Long Island where there is a lot of Italian food. Highly recommend.
