I've been coming to this place for about 8 years now. I love everything about it! The atmosphere, the food, the staff, it's all a pretty great experience! Plus, you can bring your dog(s)! Or pull up with your boat dockside. They have 12 boat slips. I once came via kayak too! I love that they are open year round as well! They have these awesome igloos on the water in the winter! If you haven't been, you need to come see for yourself!

It's unfortunate that such a beautiful spot with pretty good food has such a horrible staff and manager. I was there last night with 2 friends and we asked if we could have a table along the water and was told that table was "Closed". Ok, maybe it was a different station. Not 10 minutes later 2 people were seated at that same table. That started us off on the wrong foot. We waited about 20 minutes after being seated and I had to flag down someone to see if there was a server assigned to our table because there was nobody in sight. Finally someone came over and took our drink order which took forever to arrive. We ordered our appetizer and entrees and that's when the fun began. I ordered fried shrimp with a side of broccoli and my friend ordered a burger with fries. The waiter came back a second time just to make sure he had it right. The burger came with a side of broccoli and tartar sauce and the shrimp came with fries and catsup. It took 2 tries to get it right. Then the manager (I think, arrogant person) came over and started clearing dishes and touching my plates before I was done and when I asked him to please stop touching my plates he called me rude!! Needless to say, I will never return to this establishment and it's a shame because it's a great location. Better train your staff and managers to be more efficient and polite!

Not many waterfront places to eat on Long Island so I was surprised to get parking and a table on a Friday. Went early though 5:30. Very nice setting. Holly provided great service. I was a bit disappointed in my Lobster Roll though. I asked for it warm. Not sure how they achieved that but it was very greasy. Even the roll was greasy. It seemed a bit over cooked? Could they have dumped the chunks in the deep fry for a few seconds? I do not know. The warm butter had little flavor also- not sure if they made it fresh or what? $37 a bit high for this experience. Muscles were good although the toast to dip was so firm the sauce did not leach in. A bit pricy overall but I will be back if I can snag a spot like this again with atmosphere and not have to wait. Worth a try with another dish I think. I was not sure if Lobster Roll was a great choice with other places specializing in that on LI.

After reading several bad reviews I didn't have high hopes, but I was pleasantly surprised. I think this had a lot to do with our server, Holly, who was an absolute delight! She was friendly and funny and definitely a highlight of our visit. The outdoor seating on the canal was so nice and there was a nice breeze, not too hot and not buggy. The service was a little slow, getting drinks from the bar, but we were not in a rush so we didn't mind. We shared the coconut shrimp which were very good. I had the fish & chips w/truffle fries, the portion was huge and it was delicious. My friends had the cod special and the salmon and both said theirs was delicious too. We would definitely come back. Ask to be seated with Holly!

I had a bridal shower for my daughter and everything was perfect! The food was delicious and everyone enjoyed the all of the food. It was so cute that she came in via a boat! Thank you so much for everything!

We went to lunch here today with my sons he had a chicken sandwich is was frozen not cooked inside we gave it back the manager came over and told us they cut in half and looked at and saying it was fine !!! I said well did bite into it ?? he was the most coldest rudest manager he was disgusting!! The macroniI n cheeses lobster dinner was horrible too we spent a lot money there and got horrible food and top of it all the manager was the most nasty man he should be fired he does not know how to deal with people!!! To compensate us you usually give another lunch on the house he did not !! Do not eat here !!! Horrible place !!!

I don't understand why the ratings are so low because I absolutely loved it here! The ambiance outdoors right by the water is gorgeous and the food - or at least what I've had here - was great! I highly recommend the salmon and the tuna, both were fabulous, especially the sweet-spicy sauce on the salmon. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the rice, but it's no biggie.

Went to lunch with two daughters and 4 grandchildren. My main complaint was the food. We have eaten here many times in the past. This time the food was sub-par. Lets start with the baked clams - they were burnt - black! The Calamari wasn't cooked fully and the taste was off! My grandchildren ordered the lobster mac & cheese. It was served with burnt breadcrumbs and a 'soup' like consistency. My daughters ordered the hot lobster rolls which were served soggy and they said they had absolutely no flavor. My daughter brought this to the attention of our server who referred the problem to his boss Noel. Well, Noel is the most obnoxious person. We were completely appalled by his behavior. Wouldn't give his name after being asked at least a half dozen times. Insisted that the food was of high quality. He was very argumentative during the entire conversation. When I said that maybe he had a different chef he states " well we are having staffing problems!" I can see why. Noel is very, very RUDE acting like my family was trying to pull the wool over his eyes. We ordered at least 5 appetizers, 7 entrees and drinks. We were just trying to have a nice meal! Between having to pay top dollar for sub-par food and being treated so poorly by management I would not recommend dining here! It was Not a good experience at all. P Mager

I brought it to our servers attention whom referred us to Noel (the owner) whom we had just witnessed him yelling at the bus boy on the floor) ... he was so unpleasant not made for the service industry made us feel like we did something wrong told us we are wrong got very argumentative with us very fast. Completely appalled at his behavior! I will never go back! This man's behavior was uncomfortable unexpected and RUDE Like we were looking for a hand out Btw we ordered 5 apps and 7 entrees plus drinks we were NOT looking for a hand out! I will NEVER go back

The only reason I give 2 stars is because the margaritas were amazing, although way over priced. Other than that, the quality of food didn't outweigh the terrible service. Not the best experience.

We had my baby shower here on Saturday and it could not have been any nicer. The set up and ambience highlighted the lovely summer day. The food was excellent and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Brendan was very helpful with the booking, planning and during the party itself; and my mother, sisters and I could not have had a better experience. 5 stars.

Called ahead took a 25min boat ride and then was told I wasn’t going to be seated due to the kitchen being back up. Told them we were willing to wait we understand they were busy but they turned us away @8:15 there kitchen open till 10pm. The bayview took care of our table of 10 and had a great night out. Don’t recommend smuggler jacks at all

The Yelp reviews weren't that great and when we got there and dealt with confusion on table availability (hostess had no idea what tables were open, said 1/2 hour wait, then 15 minutes, then another 1/2 hour), not getting a menu until 10 min after sitting and confusion on who was waiting our table I wasn't sure how my overall experience would be. We were a party of 5 and my little one (as usual) loved the burger. I wish they would've had kids fish and chips, he would've had that instead. I enjoyed my grilled cod tacos. Would've liked more than spring mix on the top, but overall the portion was good and the fish was cooked well. Hubby got the French onion soup, on the salty side but pretty good! He also got the cod oreganata which he really liked and I stole some of his zucchini ribbons which were delicious! The others in my party loved their meals, blackened Mahi Mahi (with potatoes instead of rice) and the shrimp and chips which had a TON of fries and really nice size shrimp. Overall everything worked out and we loved the outdoor seating on the water as well. I'd go back again!
