I love this bakery but recently they decided to change the shape of their crumb bun. They used to bake them in a large tray and cut them ino rectangular pieces and they were up by the register. Now they are made round and in the glass case. The new crumb bun/cake does not taste as good, even though they say its the same recipe as the crumb bun itself. The rectangular shape. This round, one falls apart as you either cut into it or bite into it, and it doesn't have the same taste. Very disappointed that they change such a good thing.
Love Spiga!! I have been going since they opened the new location. I always loved Bellmore as well.

We like to stop here when on Long Island to grab pastries to take back home with us. Everything has always been delicious! Our favorites are the Rainbow Cookies, and the Linzer Tarts. We highly recommend this place.

I ordered a full Canoli sheet cake from Spiga for 9/16. They were able to accommodate me with a 2 day notice. The service was wonderful and the cake was delicious. Thank you for providing such a great cake and great service.
Consistently a top spot for baked goods. Long Island has a huge population of bakeries but I highly suggest hitting this spot up (or their Bellmore location). My litmus test is rainbow (tri-color) cookies, if they're good then most everything else will be and they've got some good rainbow cookies.

First time trying this location this morning great experience. Friendly staff. I will definitely be returning.
Gave this place WAYYY too many chances. They messed up an engagement cake in the past, but the last incident was the last straw. My sister is pregnant and wanted a cake to be the subject of her reveal. We placed the order ahead via email describing what we wanted and provided photos. The cake itself was to be pink with canoli filling, and the frosting to be pure white on the outside. The day before we were told that the cake could not be pink and they would only be able to do the pink filling. Not nice to say the day before, but fine, we were willing to deal with it.When we went to pick the cake up, we opened the box to find an ivory cake, even though our email specifically said, not ivory but pure white, and it was decorated with pink and blue spots. We confronted an employee about the cake being incorrect and she referred us to the owner who was nothing but nasty and disrespectful, using profanity and mistreating the customer. We asked him to just meet us halfway in the price since everything was wrong, and he so rudely said he wasn't willing to give us our F***KING money back.We weren't asking for the entire price back, but to compromise for the mistakes and he continued to use profanity, told us to take all of our F***KING money back, and to never step foot in any of his two locations again. What a way to handle a business. Man is a sad excuse for a business owner, especially when his products aren't the best. We came to this place because it's local, but I assure you making the trip to any other bakery is way worth it. Don't waste your time or money in this place. You wont get what you asked for, and you'll be mistreated. Owner needs a refresher on how to run a business.
Excellent Bakery!
I went to the Massapequa Bakery yesterday to get cake and soda bread for a St. Patrick's gathering with friends and family in Patchogue. I ordered the Tiramisu and Irish soda bread with raisins. Omg, the Tiramisu was one of the best I ever tasted and was well commented by all who took a slice.
Had a cake made for my daughters 21st! Was delicious and came out exactly as she wanted! Thank you!
