Stopped in after work for some drinks with some coworkers. Bartender was quick and attentive for each round. A good selection of drafts and mixed drinks were properly poured. Good crowd.

I have been coming to wing night every Monday as well as other times for well over two months religiously. I will not be returning. I was born and raised in Buffalo and have eaten more wings guaranteed than anyone else up here. I’ve also worked as a chef at several restaurants. The wings I had this evening were terrible. They pre fry them and then re fry them again to warm them up. The wings were warm, dry, and tough to eat. Meaning they were refried. They also only took 8 minutes to cook. Anyone that has ever deep fried a chicken wing knows they take 15-20. I even asked for fresh knowing from other times they were refried. It’s like wing roulette and 4 out of 5 you lose and get refries or under cooked rubber skinned) once in a while you end up getting the properly cooked wings. I will gladly prove my point by out cooking all your chefs in a chicken wing cooking contest. They can serve refries like they do and I’ll serve fresh fried to your dining room and we will see who’s is better. The kicker was asking for 10 wings of one sauce and 10 of another
( as wing night you get 20 wings to an order) every place I’ve been to will gladly sauce 10 wings one way and ten another for free. and being charged a plate fee ($1.00), and a sauce fee of ($1.00). So thanks for that. Last week my friend received completely uncooked literally raw broccoli in a bowl
( obviously the lackluster chefs forgot to microwave it) as they clearly don’t pan fry the veg, it at least would be semi warm. So a $23 dollar fried perch dinner, one of the most expensive things on their menu came with literally raw uncooked veg. The bright spot was the dark haired very nice waitress I (we) usually get. ( 5 on service rating despite my 3 rating which is for my last waitress) She knows my order every time . Always friendly and courteous. And that’s it. My suggestion before you go under is: Get a real cook in there that actually knows how to put out good food that is cooked proper. You have a nice well established business with a great nostalgic and home town local decor honoring massena adorning your walls. Shouldn’t your food and presentation match? Instead of mediocre and lackluster like massena itself has turned into. Your name will only keep you afloat for so long. The end of most restaurants is when the quality of food goes down. Everyone in the industry knows that. Breaks my heart because I really like the place. But that’s what happens with poor management and even poorer unskilled cooks.
My recommendation a once a year kind of place unless you want to just go drink ( they do have a good beer selection) until everything I’ve said improves.

I was a lil disappointed with my meal. The panini was almost on the side of burnt. Which I think might be the reason it covered up the flavor. The chipotle sauce was nowhere I could detect with my senses. But there was some pesto like stuff which didn't come through. The medium buffalo sauce barely seemed mild on our appetizer. The nachos weren't too bad. Someone else decided to just eat the protein in their pasta and leave the rest. Service was good but seemed like there was a delay for how busy it got with the food.
All in all, the food is what's important. Flavor and consistency.

Got an order of Wings on "wing night" and it was a nice size portion of wings, but they were cold. Didn't even feel like they had been microwaved, just cooked and sat out for a few hours. It took like 20-30 minutes for them to come out so I thought they were cooking them, but I don't know how that could be true if they come right out of the kitchen and were already cold.
Service was slow. I guess for them they were crowded, maybe 20 people in the whole place, but they had 4-5 servers so seems like it should've been faster. It was my first time here so maybe that's the norm, but the food just threw the whole experience off.

Great sports bar and restaurant, and has a complete menu for all tastes. Service has always been fantastic. Every time we're in the area we swing by for lunch.
Highly recommend

The service was great, and the atmosphere was welcoming and fun. The food was mediocre. I went there for lunch. It was mildly crowded. Food came out quick, there just wasn't really any flavor to it.
