First time trying out this restaurant. The food was okay, I ordered a cheese quesadilla and I ordered a poutine. I liked it. I wish the waitress would have told me the quesadilla came with fries though and they were too salty for me. My husband ordered the fish and chips and he said it was alright.

A small group of 4 of us came in today for lunch around 1230 wasn’t an empty seat in the house but you wouldn’t know that by the excellent service we got from the only waitress there. She was on top of everything and we didn’t have a wait! Our food and service was excellent we definitely will be returning shortly!

We had a great experience for breakfast! I took my Grandkids and they loved it. Very friendly, waitress was efficient, food was delicious and the price reasonable! The kids say they could give 15 stars because there was 3 of us😊

If we could put zero stars we would. Food was awful and always has been. They pray on the elderly and those passing through the area. This is not the diner food your looking for. Save your money, go to twin leaf or spankys

I had a very disappointing experience at The Highland Restaurant in Massena.

Our server wasn’t using a notepad and forgot my coffee, which I only got after reminding her 10 minutes later. We ordered a buffalo poutine with ranch and specifically asked for no blue cheese—it came out with blue cheese anyway. When they remade it, the replacement wasn’t as warm as it should have been. The mozzarella stick sauce was watered down and flavorless.

For my meal, I ordered a mushroom Swiss burger with added lettuce and onion, but it came with tomatoes instead. Not a huge deal, but it showed a lack of attention to detail. My SO ordered a steak and cheese with curly fries with cheese, but the fries came out cold and without cheese, and the shaved steak was very dry.

On top of that, the service made us feel rushed. The server brought over takeout boxes before we were even finished, which gave the impression they wanted us out. We did ask about dessert (which we’ve always enjoyed in the past), but when she listed options, she spoke so quietly I couldn’t even hear her( I heard her yell at the kitchen staff for my coffee earlier) Then, she just brought them out on plates right after we had packed our meals away into containers like

Between the service mistakes, cold food, and rushed atmosphere, this was easily one of the worst experiences I’ve had here. Definitely not worth the money.

Went there for lunch today. Placed our order tuna sandwich and hot roast beef sandwich. Waited forty minutes, we left a five on the table and left hungry. Won't go back.

Great food made fresh and friendly staff. One draw back they charged me $18.99 for a breakfast pizza when it was suppose to be $15.99!

Worst restaurant experience I can remember. We figure the waitress was off her meds, or maybe had taken double. The place was NOT busy when we came in and yet It took more than 15 minutes after taking our seat to get the waitress to stop by with menus, another 10 minutes for her to stop by to say “want something ta drink?” 10 minutes to get water and coffee…. It just went on and on, and we could see others were having issues. Finally got her to stop by and take our order, and then we settled in for another 20 minutes wait for food to come. I ordered chicken parm which the menu said came on a bed of linguini, with salad and garlic toast. The chicken came on a plate, with a thin coating of red sauce and some mozzarella on top. It was dry and so tough and overcooked it was inedible. There was a separate dish with spaghetti - not linguini - and a tablespoon or so of weak red sauce. When I asked the waitress where my salad was she told me it didn’t come with salad. When I told her the menu says salad, she said no, that’s not right, but she could get me a salad if I wanted. My wife pointed out that she didn’t have her coleslaw. What she did have was breaded haddock(?) filet that had been fried to dryness and a sloppy pile of Mac and cheese beside it. And this was happening to everyone - the elderly couple at the table beside ours ended up walking out after waiting way too long for their order which never came. It’s too bad. When this place first opened my wife and I went for lunch and had a great experience - food and waitstaff were great - and we went back a couple times soon after that. Something has happened since then and the owners clearly have no interest in building clientele or running even a good restaurant, let alone a very good restaurant. The quality of our dinners should be embarrassing but apparently that’s not the case. We won’t be back again and we’ll certainly spread the word that this place is not worth any amount of money.

I thought I'd give your another try... I always buy your pizza from when new and it's steadily gone downhillur cheese and sauce to be on point now you sell a small pizza for a large and mostly crust in toppings only on one side will not return gave three times a chance
