For context, I've been going to J&Rs for at least 20years loyally. Went to the location in Medford and my server took my order and that was the last time I literally saw him. He never came to ask how the food was, if I needed another drink, NADA.....I had to go find him so I can pay my bill and leave. Then he said I'm sorry, I was just busy talking(to his coworkers)...I guess there's a 1st time for everything 🤣....the food was great as usual but businesses...
I was there with a party of over 30 people, and the wait staff was excellent. They checked on everyone periodically, refreshed drinks. This will be one of my go to restaurants when I return to Long Island.
Oh my God I went there for the first time just the other week and I felt like I was transported back to the awesome 80s. The atmosphere was like a fun bar with high tops TVs everyone talking to each other. I had a Surf and her for 35 box which included a lobster tail and a beautiful filet mignon black Angus. I can’t wait to go here again even though I have to drive 40 minutes from my house it’s totally worth it.
