The corn chowder today was just perfect. Didn't need anything else for lunch. Awesome!
😁We eat at Captain's a lot instead of going to Burger King or McDonalds; you can always count on a good meal here and the food is always hot. Been going here since we moved here about 20 yrs ago. Definitely worthy of a 5+ star review. The servive is always excellent and the staff is always friendly and welcoming!
Haven't been there in awhile, just happened to be driving by and whipped the car in.
Not much changed, I decided to go with the fish fry . It was good size and cooked right on.

First time there. Lenten fried fish was good although only about 75% the size of typical fish fare elsewhere. French fries were almost inedible; reheated too many times. Service was friendly and attentive. Check was a surprise - was charged a fee of 3.27% of food bill plus the tax for paying with a card and not with cash. I must pay you extra in order to pay you? That's a hard no - I won't be back.

I'm not a fan of Medina. Sorry. I'm just not. Having grown up in small town America I'm completely over the "in the middle of nowhere" vibe small townships like this place throw off.One thing you can always count on in small town USA though is a family oriented restaurant that has excellent friendly quick service with a smile a bottomless cup of coffee and excellent "home cooked" meals. Captain Kidz does not disappoint and gives you this down home feel without even trying. The atmosphere is friendly and bustling. The staff is friendly and familiar (even if like myself you happen to be a complete stranger) and the food is superb. Nothing too fancy but fulfilling and priced just right. My favorite part is they're open early for the before work crowd. If you find yourself in near Medina NY Captain Kidz is definitely worth checking out. You'll enjoy the nostalgia (if you grew up small town) you'll leave full and it doesn't break the bank. 6 outta 5 stars for this place. My go to for breakfast while I'm trapped here.

Restaurantji Recommends
Food isn't very good would equate it to cafeteria quality at best. The place is dirty as well, when we ate there there were dead bugs all over the windowsills and more live ones flying and landing in the food. Would not recommend.

Very nice small diner, great friendly service at a hospitable location, and the food was outstanding with nice portions, great regular menu but recommend ordering from the diner's specials menu, those meals are all prepared in house from scratch, I had the haddock fish fry and my guest had the chix&bisc, we both left full and very happy!! Thanks Captain Kidz!!
