Very nice place to go with family or friends for dinner. We have been there quite a few times for lunch as well as dinner. We like the food options we have considering we are vegetarians. Neighborhood gem for Italian food.

Horrible experience. We ordered 2 glasses of Prosecco. They were tasteless and no bubbles. We send it back and asked if bartender could open a new bottle. Waiter, who was professional, returned and informed us bartender already had opened a new bottle for our drinks and the taste would remain the same if he opened another bottle. We asked to speak with manager. Young lady, who we later learned was asst. manager, approached our table and before we could complete first sentence she repeated same words as our waiter and informed us they wouldn't "waste" opening another bottle. She was so rude and unprofessional. Her behavior ruined our dining experience. Shame on LaPiazza in Melville. A customer should be the purpose of your day, not an interruption.

My friends and I enjoyed our food at LaPiazza. While everything was good, it wasn't outstanding. This is a good local restaurant, their menu offers a nice selection of food. The prices are comparable to other restaurants in the area. Which are predominantly high. We had 4 main couses, no appetizers, one salad (which my friend asked if they could split so she could share with her husband. She was told there's an up charge for that.)Monday nights offer a perk of 50% off of wine over $50/bottle, which we took advantage of. Again only main courses & discounted bottle of wine. Bill was $130 a couple.

I had a fantastic date night here a little while back. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and feel to it. Perfect for a casual date night. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. We shared 2 wonderful dishes. The salmon piccata and the pumpkin Ravioli. The salmon was flavorful and tender. The rice sucked up that wonderful sauce and the artichoke was a great compliment. The dish was plated very beautiful as well. The Ravioli was amazing. I wasn't sure if pumpkin was going to work in Ravioli, but it did very well.I can't wait for another date night so I can come here again.Parking: Big lot in the back.

I absolutely love going here. Everyone is so professional and the food is so delicious. Ivan the bartender makes the perfect French Vanilla Martini.

Food really great. Mixup on waiter assigned to table at first caused delay in ordering, but once straightened out, no further problems. Recommend reservation fri/sat nights. prices have gone up since my last visit, as seems to be the norm post-covid.

Love LOVE LOVE this place! The food is always so good. We order monthly for our birthday lunches at work and I always get the Minestrone Soup and Mediterranean Salad with Grilled Chicken. Everything is always hot, fresh and so flavorful.

Overall terrible experience the hostesses where standoffish and generally rude. A simple request for a table change was not readily accommodated the waitress was sincerely uncooperative. Insisting the appetizers and main entrees must be ordered at the time. The waitress refused to accept I my the appreciate order. I was generally very dis satisfied with the experience.

This evening I took my girlfriend out for Valentine’s Day here and I must say the service was by far the worst I’ve had. The server Jose did not come to check on our table once, we saw him one time all night and that was when we just sat down. We were rushed and asked right away what we wanted to order and the food took an hour to come to our table. Also we had to ask the busboy for the check several times because Jose was nowhere to be found. During dinner I went to the restroom and saw Jose and he laughed and said I hope your food comes out soon and saw I was very displeased and kept trying to joke around with me. I understand it was busy and it was a holiday but he was very unprofessional and I will not be coming here again.

We went to La Piazza for Valentine's Day dinner. Service: Great Food: exceptional I had the Branzino which was cooked and seasoned perfectly. My girl had the Halibut which was absolutely delicious. The sauce and garnish were perfection. Excellent wine selection. Priced reasonably and certainly on par with the food quality. You could pay almost the same and have a terrible meal elsewhere. Great selection of Italian staples yet some dishes are signature La Piazza. It's a larger restaurant yet the acoustics were good. Overall great experience. Seating can feel slightly cramped around the edges of the room but center tables are very comfortable.

Visited La Piazza on Wednesday 02/07/2024 for dinner. We were seated at the high top table which was fine because there was more lighting in that area. Ordered the baked clams which were okay, one of them had some sandy grit on it. Ordered the steak frites with the sweet potato fries. The streak was very chewy and not what was expected. Felt rushed from the appetizer to the main meal.

They had a line for valet so took a while to get in. Place was packed on a Saturday night. To start off we received complimentary bread. We ordered a bunch of apps but only took a few pics. Apps portion sizes were small so keep that in mind when sharing. We got the burrata which was really good. Shrimp cocktail was okay but that's usually how it is. Pieces of shrimp were big. The stuffed mushrooms were really good and flavorful. No pics because we ate them too fast. The pizza was good. Kids loved it. I got the bunless burger. It has no taste. No flavor. Not even salt. I took a bite of my husbands roasted chicken which was so so good. Very moist and flavorful. I would definitely get that next time. My friend had the chicken and sausage. Also very good and it was a big portion. For dessert I got the coffee, and it was so cute with the "me and you" message one it. It was a little pricey, $275 for the both of us but I feel like we got our moneys worth. Would go back.
