It's a solid bakery and the staff is generally nice.That one young teenage girl with the thick glasses always gives me problems whenever I am there, though. She gave me the wrong cake one visit and the most recent trip she flung the bag across the counter by the bag handles with her finger so that it almost slid off on the opposite side of the counter. Totally understand she's a kid, but certainly off putting when this isn't necessarily a cheap bakery.Solid place, but avoid that clerk.

My son was having a birthday party at Funtopia and I needed a cake. I googled nearby bakeries, so I can pick it up and head to location. I never been here and didn't know what to expect. I ordered a red velvet cake with vanilla frosting and all the guest wanted to know where I ordered the cake from. I asked for it to look like a baseball for a baseball theme party and they hit the mark. I'm happy I found this GEM and would recommend it to everyone.

Wife sent me last minute to find a good bakery and I stopped at Joe's Bakery on Metropolitan Ave and was extremely satisfied with the service I received particular with a gentleman wearing a Trump Hat. I needed to get cookies and cakes for my family and he provided customer satisfaction to the highest level. The cookies and cakes were great. My family was very happy and I was happy as well with the gentleman's great service he provide for me. My wife and family and friends will be a loyal customer now and forever. I have walked by this bakery 2 times at night just as they were closing and was disgusted by what I saw. They have garbage cans full of bread out in the open for garbage night that reek of bleach. I understand that this is a business and money needs to be made, but the fact that they don’t donate that bread and instead intentionally pour bleach so that a homeless person cannot take it is horrible. It says a lot about the type of establishment this is.
