While visiting Herkimer Diamond Mine decided to stp for a drink and something to eat. Not a disappointment. We like the where the locals go type of bars and restaurants. Very quaint area. Very friendly locals and owner. Great food and prices.

Great price! $27 for chicken fried steak, meatloaf, cheeseburger fries, and wings, plus 4 soft drinks. Didn't know what to expect, never been, not from around the area. Definitely a bar that serves food, not a traditional family atmosphere. Had 3 normal tables, and 3 or 4 high tops. Took our 12 & 13 year old to a normal table. Good service from the young lady who was bartending & taking care of us.

food was excellent and the bartender who was also the waitress was super nice and very attaentive to us as well as the bar patrons. she was nice and chatty without seeming forced to be. the food was excellent! the 4 of us with drinks was only 27 dollars that was two entries, 10 wings and a burger with fries. i had the countrry fried chicken that came with mashed potatoes and corn bread with corn and a good sized chicken breast! my wife had the meatloaf which was huge and came with the same sides both had some yummy gravy all in all a way better meal and experience than the night before at Applebee's. we will come back!
