This was hands down the best BBQ I've had since I've been up north. Big Al was extra friendly, very helpful, and I can't stress enough how good the food was. If you're in the area or driving through take the time to swing through and treat yourself.

Takes 1hr for 1 cheeseburger. Customer service is absolutely terrible. Come here if you want to spend half your day in the cold waiting for a hockey puck of a burger.

We Crazy Few And a Baby
So.....where to start..geez. $2 " Burgers" were so burnt, you could use them like a paper weight. There was half, HALF an onion almost on 1 of them. The yams were swimming in sugar water, WHY?? The chicken in the rice was days old. The baked beans were unsweetened black bean mush. The turkey in the collar greens were so old they probably voted for Kennedy. Also swimming in water, again, WHY? The brisket was...I'm telling you, so butnt and fatty and greenish, I thought it was gasoline on top. They messed up bbq chicken,. BBQ CHICKEN. The sweet tea could send you into a diabetic coma. The "Peach cobbler" was surger water, fat, and canned peaches. The coleslaw looks ill But hey, the water was good. Dont believe me? Oh dont worry, I have pictures!

Pork chop sandwich and smack and cheese is my new favorite meal. When we're trying to decide what to eat, that's what I want. The pork chop sandwich has just the right amount of resistance without being chewy--it's so tasty, and the smack & cheese is the perfect compliment. Yum yum

Of all the things on the menu, what we really like to order is the pork chop sandwich--you wouldn't think to order it, probably, but it is delicious. The collard greens and cornbread are also very tasty. I personally hate mac and cheese, but my partner really likes it. The blackened catfish is cooked the way it is supposed to me. Mysteriously, every time I order the smoked chicken I get fried chicken instead, so be wary. However, we have tried most of the menu and generally it is much better than (sorry) Brooks.

Only ordered on door dash so far but I'll definitely be back/order again. The portions are huge the box was stuffed. Even with door dashes fees it really wasn't expensive either if I picked it up myself definitely a steal price wise. The ribs were some of the best I've had in a very long time 10/10

Delicious NC BBQ. Brisket was phenomenal! Pulled pork was yummy! Macaroni and cheese was delicious. The homemade coleslaw was so good!! If you want sauce on the side, ask for it. “Big Al” is definitely accommodating and friendly. The BBQ sauce was good too. Everything we ate was great.

Coming in from out of town it was hard to choose a place to eat, but as soon as we rolled into big Al's we knew we found what we needed. Amazing service and atmosphere - like you family. Check out the full menu, you can't go wrong with the food here.

Delicious brisket! Yummy Mac and cheese! Homemade coleslaw! Everything we had was very satisfying. The homemade BBQ sauce was good. If you don’t like it on top of your food, just ask for it on the side. It was great tasting BBQ sauce.
