The prices are outrageous! Lunch is 17$ you can get the best Japanese food on earth at Osaka in shoreham. 11$ for delicious fresh food. Great service, won’t come back to this place. It’s very very expensive.

By far, this is one of the best, with the combination of the hibachi tables or just table service or sitting at the sushi bar. Definitely the place to go with friends and family.

I’ve been to this restaurant a good amount of times over the years. After a couple visits I started noticing some things now that my children are a bit older and I can actually relax when we go out to eat.😅
Service was fine, no issue there. Hibachi area is just plain dirty. The plates, the utensils, the counters and grills. The cook doesn’t even clean/wipe down the grill before he starts cooking, only after he’s done cooking.
The food wasn’t portioned properly to each customer’s plate and food had little to no seasonings, I’ve had much better tasting food at other hibachi restaurants. At our most recent visit we saw bugs crawling on the counter where we were seated, probably burning to a crisp as they crawled closer to the hot grill. My children and I definitely won’t be returning to this restaurant but I figured I’d share my honest opinions with you all. 😊

Five Stars!
From the moment we walked into Wasabi Japanese Steakhouse, we knew we were in for something special. The atmosphere struck the perfect balance—warm lighting, a welcoming buzz of conversation, but never too loud. It felt lively, not chaotic; elegant, not stiff.
The food? Absolutely top-tier. My hibachi steak was tender and expertly seasoned, and the sushi—crafted by true itamae—was nothing short of exquisite. Each roll was a work of art, as beautiful to look at as it was to eat. Everything from the miso soup to the shrimp tempura hit the mark.
But the true standout of the night was Gary, the manager. He didn’t just stop by our table—he connected. He checked in with genuine warmth, remembered our names, and made sure we were completely satisfied. That kind of personal attention is rare and unforgettable.
Combine that level of service with flawless food and a perfectly tuned dining environment, and you’ve got a restaurant that goes beyond dinner—it delivers an experience. We’ll be back soon, and often.

Wasabi in Miller Place has incredible sushi, top-tier hibachi, and a fun, lively atmosphere—but the real reason I keep coming back is Gary. From the moment you walk in, whether you're new or a regular, Gary treats you like family. His energy, warmth, and eccentric charm make the entire place feel like a second home.
Yes, the food is consistently amazing—fresh, flavorful sushi and unbeatable hibachi entertainment—but it’s Gary who makes the experience unforgettable. Wasabi isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a reflection of his heart, and that’s what truly sets it apart. Thank you Gary for everything that you do!

Would give zero if i could. I ordered my food and everything was fine on the phone. i pick it up and they put the rice on top of the sushi so my sushi got warm. it was a partially cooked roll but the fish on top was warm. the sushi appetizer was great, the fried rice chicken was chewy. i called about the sushi and asked for a refund on the one that was raw. they said yes but they thought i meant the sushi appetizer so upon arrival i was refused a refund and a remake. gary then yelled at me and belittled me for three minutes. my boyfriend then went in after having nose surgery a day ago. he went in because of the way gary belittled me and yelled at me. my boyfriend received the same treatment and I honestly wanted to cry bc gary used to be so nice. it felt wrong the way he yelled at me. the sushi appetizer was delicious but the fried rice was chewy and the other sushi, the partially cooked one the raw salmon on top, was very warm. it was upsetting to be screamed at. over the phone it was no problem, but once i got there i was yelled at right when i walked in. very sad
