Love this place. Homey atmosphere, great service and delicious food. Not inexpensive but commensurate with fine dining. What more could you want?

The Davenport Press in Mineola NY has been around for many years, and I just had the opportunity to go there for the very first time. I absolutely loved it. The ambiance is wonderful.. it's like a trip back in time. White tablecloths, the most exceptional staff and service and last but certainly not least the food was amazing. I had the lobster tails and my husband had the prime rib, both were delicious. I hope the Davenport stays with us for a long time to come.. I give it a ten out of ten and then some.

We have been to Davenport Press many times and have always been satisfied. We were seated before 5:30 in order to use a 20% off coupon. Last night we went with another couple and, it may have been what they ordered, but they weren't happy. One ordered the soft shell crabs which she said were “ok.” The other person ordered the veal scaloppini and said the veal was tough. One person ordered a Diet Coke at the end of the meal, but never got it.

They were so friendly and accommodated my dad who needed cushion for his chair. Then they surprised us with birthday cake and champagne!!

It was Father's Day and we had a grand time. Lino welcomed us warmly. The atmosphere was homey. There were a lot of specials to choose from and the regular menu selections were numerous. We had the fillet of sole specials and the fish was delightfully fresh and delicious. The veal Mediterranean was very good too. For dessert, don't miss the silk and satin cake. To top this off, service was attentive and welcoming. We will not hesitate to recommend this place and definitely a go-back place.

Great selection of tasty specials. The portobello and octopus appetizers were very delicious and well made. Herb cruses lamb chops and porterhouse were perfectly cooked and tender. Veal Mediterranean was a new twist on a theme and delicious. Portions are more than ample and gave you enough leftover for lunch the next day.

We had a wonderful Easter dinner. Our waitress, Elena, was very attentive. The drinks, appetizers & entrees were delicious and perfect temperature for eating. We topped it off with delicious desserts and tea & coffee. Davenport never disappoints. Thank you!

We ate Easter dinner here. The appetizers and rack of lamb were very good, but the Davenport pork and desserts were truly excellent. Plus, this restaurant has terrific atmosphere and service!
