I recently placed an order with this restaurant for a friend who had just lost her father. Pedro was incredibly kind, helpful, patient, and always available to answer my questions. He took the time to help me put together an order and made sure everything was delivered smoothly. His kindness and professionalism really stood out! The food here is delicious and the service is the best! Highly recommend!

The Food Was Very Tasty And Fresh 🇵🇹
Everything Was Authentic From The Complementary Bread To The Main Dish Even The Plates Are Like Back In Portugal‼️
Also The Vibes And Ambiance Were Very Laid Back Very Calm And A Very Humble Feel I’ll Definitely Be Putting This Spot In My Restaurante Rotation

First time at Lareira will visiting Long Island. The food was great as well as atmosphere. The service was awesome, Elizabeth!! Nice portions. We all were able to take some home a snack or lunch for the next day. Enjoyed a serving of delicious after dinner port. Yum! Would definitely come back.

I didn’t expect much, but the food was really good and service as well. The only downside was that I had to catch a cockroach at the table. I understand it can happen, but if you invest a bit more in pest control, it would be a truly outstanding restaurant with nothing more to ask for.

We (2 of us) went for early dinner on a Thursday.
The overall experience was decent but a bit disappointing. The service and our waiter were nice but SUPER SLOW. There were only two tables occupied during our meal. 2 of us and the other table of 5 people.
We ordered the White Sangria (full carafe) but the waiter said we should order half (which would be 4 glasses). It was about 2 glasses in total and was not enough. It was very tasty so we ended up ordering another full glass (and overpaid).
For our meal, we ordered:
Cataplana de Marisco - it was WAY too salty - especially the sauce, the clams and mussels. The mussels had sand and was difficult to eat.
Camarao Grelhado (Cognac Shrimp) - was really good. Perfectly prepared in texture and flavor.
Paelha Marinheira (Seafood Paella) - they charged extra $24 to add Lobster for total of $49. They only added HALF of a tiny lobster for $24. Where did my other lobster half go?? Despite that disappointing surprise, it was very tasty. The mussels, again, were very sandy. Only two tiny pieces of squid. We couldn’t find ANY scallops even though the menu mentioned scallops.
We were planning to order dessert but we were tired of waiting for the waiter so we decided to call it a night.
Overall, it was a decent meal but it would not be my first choice to return.

Don't go to this restaurant, don't order the sangria (you will need a full pitcher, not half... It's delicious and not boozy) don't order the clams or the shrimp! Because if you DO, there will certainly be less for ME, and I don't understand why I don't go there 7 days a week. What a goldmine this place is, our favorite Portuguese by a landslide!
