I always stop in for their fantastic seafood salad, potato salad and some times, their rice pudding. The food is always very good and the owners are always welcoming and friendly. Pay them a visit soon!
Around 1970 or so, there were two delis on Jericho Turnpike, Johnny’s and Werner’s. (honorable mention to Ardito’s, which is still there and apparently still owned by the Ardito’s). I noticed Werner’s was still there. Werner must be about 100 years old by now. When I checked it out I learned Werner’s isn’t really Werner’s anymore. I used to stop there most days when I was working in new Hyde park meats are fresh and they make really good sandwiches I'm no longer in the area but stop by once in awhile now
