I only tried this place once, several years ago. The place was so infested with fleas that they were hoping on the white paper placemats at my table setting. While I was waiting for the waitress to bring my water, I killed 3, wrote a note on the placement, circling the dead fleas, and left. I had several bites on my ankles. I hope they've dealt with that, but I know I won't ever go there again. With fleas that prevalent, they're in the food too. YUK.

After a great day xc skiing in Bear we ended up at the Colonial Lodge for a delicious lunch. Andy makes most of the items himself. The tomato bisque is delicious as are the hand cut fries and burgers. Thanks Andy. Will be seeing more of you this winter

It was the best cooked steak I have ever ordered. Prices are great. Service was outstanding. Very welcoming and friendly people that make you feel like you have been there a thousand times, although it was my first time there. I really enjoyed myself. All customers talk to each other like old friends. Clean and a really good time.

Food was OK, nothing great. Insect in glass was given as thats what you get living in the swamp:(. Service was ok. No paper towels in the bathroom and place ( entire restaurant and bar)needs a thorough cleaning. It was sad to see this:(((
I love lake perch. Hadn't been to the Colonial in several years, so thought I'd try it again. The perch was very good, but there was mold on the bun! One of my friends found a fly in her iced tea, and the fries were swimming in grease (too much to eat). No paper towels or any other way to dry hands in ladies room. Dirty floors. Too bad.

Place to unload your snowmobile to ride or just ride in from the trails that go through. Nice fireplace going on a cold night. Friendly staff. Food could improve.

place is gross wouldnt bring my dog to eat their but um yea all the food is frozen and has been and is then warmed up and now all the sudden you get charged 15$ for it weird bc id rather eat kraft mac and cheese food is blander then bread.
