Went with a friend to get some rolls! We got the bill and it was 85 bucks. While we were talking, I accidentally put 5 bucks in as a tip (I normally tip 20% but totally miscounted). Server comes up and asks if we had an issue with the service. We said no, then she asked why we left a 5 dollar tip. I added enough for the 20% and we left.
I love Midori a lot and go there often , but after this I don’t plan on being back ever. I worked in food service for years, but I would never bother someone with asking about their tip, even if it was a mess up. It was completely unprofessional and embarrassing. It means little to them, but they lose two customers today.

Terrible service and the owner couldn’t care less to make it right. Will never visit again.
Worst experience. Hibachi chef did absolutely nothing. No throwing the food, no sake, no games, no show. Was CLEARLY rushing. Then the power goes out halfway through. We’re using a flashlight so this guy can cook. Then he threw a tip jar in our face and left. Owner came over and said “he’s busy” It was a Tuesday night. Owner KNEW there was an issue and did NOTHING. He knew we were pissed and didn’t give any Fs. Never again.

While the food is good, it’s hard to enjoy when you’re expected to eat at 100 mph. Trying to eat at a normal pace and slow the staff down feels like wrestling a bull—they’re literally taking plates away while you’re still eating! 🤣

Sooooo the oil they use is cross contaminated and luckily I didn't need my epi-pen. I only had stomach issues but please for the love of God, separate other meat/veg from fish/shellfish. It could have been way worse.

Hibachi dish was over salted and over cooked then what I requested like taking a spoon full of salt. Forgot sashimi platter until we was already full and ready to head out. Shumai was ehh... only decent dish was jj sandwich that's a must try.

I love Midori. Always a great place to go out to eat with as little as two people up to ten if you wanted to. Great hibachi steak house. They have excellent quality sushi and the offer a lot of rolls and selections. They always go out of their way to make you feel welcome. They hook you up on your birthday and give you 25% off and an extra 10% if you pay with cash. The food here is always cooked perfectly. The hibachi is awesome. They even gave me some fried ice cream for my birthday a few weeks ago and they sing happy birthday to you.

Celebrated my birthday w our friends & they sat us with a snobby couple & their 2 toddlers. If my best friend didn’t run a nursery all day it would have been a little better 🤭. The cook was fantastic & food exceptional
