What a wonderful, wonderful thing these people are doing. During this difficult time, so many people are afraid that they don't have food and they can't feed their children. This restaurant has stepped up to help so many people in need and are not receiving their snap benefits. They're just wonderful for doing this.❤️
Great food and value, good ambiance. They do good work in the community. A worthwhile business to support.

These people are generously donating food to SNAP recipients during the government shutdown. Admirable.
I have yet been able to eat here but I will soon. I just saw how this restaurant is going to help those who are losing their snap benefits in nov and if need be they're gonna help families with Thanksgiving ❤️ THANK you for your kindness. You guys rock!!
Incredible and amazing! Highly recommended.
Anyone willing to help the community deserves 5 stars in my book. I hadn’t heard about this place until recently and now I will gladly support this small business for showing kindness and empathy in a world that lacks it.
Thank you for your empathy.

Found this wonderful BBQ place by accident and what a find it was! The food was amazing. I have not found a BBQ spot on LI that tastes like real BBQ, until we found Struggletown! The food and service were amazing. We got the brisket mac n cheese, the Big john platter and the Aloha Justin sandwich. All were tender and full of flavor! And don't forget the sauces, in addition to the regular ones on the table the red valley heat, Alabama white, and the shed sauce all different than the other but equally good. We will absolutely be back!

We went to Struggletown BBQ in Miller Place for the first time on 9/16 slightly before closing and it did not disappoint! The brisket platter was flavorful, tender, and very filling. What really made the experience extra special was the server/greeter, Cooper. From the moment my wife and I walked in, he greeted us with a big smile, made us feel welcome, and was kind and attentive throughout our visit. We dined in, and the space was clean and pleasant, making for an all-around great experience. We’ll definitely be back!

Cannot say enough good things about Struggletown! John and his staff are amazing and the food is fabulous! We’ve been working with them for - few years for a large company picnic. This year due to rain it was cancelled but John and his staff made arrangements to still cook and feed our hungry staff the next day! Extremely grateful and appreciate their flexibility and making it work! -Susan
Amazing bbq place.
Up here for a volleyball match @ Stony Brook and wanted BBQ for lunch. 20 minutes out of the way but the name got me. Worth the detour! 1/2 lb of brisket and the baked beans. Wish they weren’t 5 hours from home! 😆
