Tasty, authentic Cajun food in Fleetwood on Gramatan Avenue. Went with a friend and had the grilled blackened chicken salad, plus we shared the sweet ‘tater fries and hushpuppies—everything was flavorful and satisfying. Definitely planning to come back!

Such an authentic bar. The vibe really gives you the bayou. They have cute little hotsauces dancing around the edges of the room. Different size tables. Even though its a bar it us very kid friendly. They even have shows at times or quiz moments which is cute. The serving size is pretty big as well. The drinks are strong. From scenery and food you can forget that this is a bar but the drinks will definitely remind you. 2 or 3 and you are done for the night I promise! There are four main waiters I love the female with the arm tat she is so friendly and can multitask without forgetting you. I would go again as a date night or a night cap after work

Great service, and food. The flavor on the chicken and coller greens was out of this world. The ribs were juicy and the meat fell right off the bone. Their home made salad dressing was so fresh tasting
Service was so attentive and easy. Good conversation. Plus good background music.
Only thought. Need better lighting in the bathroom. We will be back!

Sadly food quality steadily downhill over last several years. Mac+cheese very pre-made, no matter how many add--ins. Can drip the grease right out of it. Vegi-pot pie same issue, probably made several days before. Could pour grease right out. Give them a break, we couldn't return both dishes😔. Used to prefer Maggie Spillane's right across street. With their competition closed, don't know how they couldn't be doing quicker food turn over=fresher food!
I had the blackened fish with dirty rice and collard greens. The blackened fish tasted like it had no type of seasoning on it just black. The dirty rice was very mushy (plus an up charge) they said it would come with sausage it had no sausage at all and it was also very bland. The collard greens were very sweet! Idk why they shy away from salt so much. Everything was either sweet or with no flavor at all. Mashed potato’s were also very flavorless & left untouched. Will I be back again? No. Definitely the worst food I’ve had in NY so far.

This place is like a traditional restaurant not a classy, high quality place. Old country side restaurant kinda vibe. I feel everything was just basic here. And yes , they have a band live performance in the evening, i don't know if it's only on Saturdays though.
Hometown favorite. Great cajun style food really bringing that southern comfort to mount vernon
