I'm not sure who's giving this place such good reviews, but I doubt it's anyone who knows anything from good food. The main focus of this restaurant is their bar and the guys/friends who were sitting at it. We should have ran the other way when having to walk through a handful of bar patrons smoking right in the front door and then seeing every table in this fairly big place was empty coming on 6:00 p.m. Short and sweet, whoever is 'cooking' (probably someone's unemployable relative) took perfectly good ingredients (lobster, colossal shrimp, steak, mussels and large who shells disintegrated when picked up to eat the clams and absolutely destroyed them with a broiler to serve a dried out mess. If you've been to Portugal, you would NEVER find such a poorly prepared, badly cooked waste of what would ordinarily be delicious ingredients in the hands of Proprietors who care about what they're cooking and what they're serving for a customers money. This is not good Portuguese food by any stretch of the imagination, sadly.To add insult to injury, I specifically asked if the platter NOT be overcooked and specifically that the steak should be somewhere between rare and medium. That was a waste of breath time and breath. We got shoe leather.I know the photo I put up looks pretty good, but that's when it landed and found that everything under those bright lobsters, which were also way way overcooked, was so dry and unedible that we just didn't eat it.Second, I told the server what was wrong with the dish and there were no adjustments made nor did a manager of any sort show up at the table to discuss a 75-$80 mess that we were served. We paid the check and left. Save your time and money and go to the other fairly good Portuguese place in Yonkers. Was scared to go initially because of the reviews about it being racist.... but I went and it was great. The food, server, and atmosphere were great. They kept checking in to ensure that we were okay. With the advice that was received, we bought 1 meal and shared it, which was a smart decision cause the food was a lot. I have to say the vegetable soup was delicious and hot.

This was my second time going. Although, I did not enjoy it like I did my first time. The piña colada tasted like blended, watered down cream. Did not taste like pineapple at all. On the other hand, the bacon and salmon bites were delicious.

My father came here and got assaulted. He comes to this restaurant often and not one person in this restaurant had called the cops or asked him if he was ok. He got assaulted in the mens bathroom, and on the patio. Not once but TWICE! And not one person called the police or asked if he needed help, as he was covered in blood. This place is a disgrace. Do not come here and give them your business or time. This place needs to be shut down.

Took my friend out to eat here for lunch on her birthday. Mixed feelings about this place. My entree was awful and the service was so-so. Waitress was super busy attending to a crowded bar area but she did help me pick out a dessert for my friend and brought it over and sung “Happy Birthday.” I recommend paying with cash because I got charged a surcharge fee for using my credit card; which I wouldn’t have used had I have known. Anyway, I was grateful that overall my friend enjoyed her meal but we will not be coming back.
