Something has changed at this place. I love their pumpkin cheese pie so much that I drive to rockland county just for that. This time the pie tasted wrong. The pumpkin part is now just a thin layer of paste and the crust is extra thick and hard. The taste is nothing like before. Oh why do you have to ruin such a treat that I have loved for years. In the past the parking lot used to be always full and there was always a line. Today I was the only one there. Wonder if people already figured out and stopped going.

The cakes are always really cute but the service needs WORK. Alyssa was just all around not pleasant . She wasn’t rude but her tone & the way she stated things was not right . I’ve been to carousel cakes before and have spoken to other ladies so I know that this isn’t their usual service . I was in a bind with the cake so I bought something day of and the way she communicated what could and couldn’t be done was very harsh . She wasn’t rude .. but just unpleasant …… I still love the cakes and love my cupcakes .. maybe I’ll just try another location .

Picked up my husbands birthday cake here! The hostos squiggly cake is amazing!!! Just like the cup cake and super affordable.. will buy from them again!
The cakes from here are amazing. They have a wide variety of cup cakes with dirt & and worm, aka dirty worm being my favorite. The cakes are always rich in flavor and moist.

My family and I have been customers for over 25 years, we buy all of our holiday and birthday cakes here. I recently stopped in to buy a few cupcakes and was highly disappointed. The cupcakes tasted as though they were in the fridge way TOO long; gross!! At first, I thought it was just me, so I had my husband try a different one, and his exact words were "gross, this place went down" If the cupcakes are not fresh REMOVE them and DO NOT sell them to your patrons. I did not want to post this, however, when I tried calling, I finally got someone on the phone that clearly did not want to be there, so I just hung up on her.

I can go into more details....but what kind of bakery does not take an order in advance? My mother's 80th birthday and they would not take an order over the phone with payment. We had someone to pick it up (they would not deliver the cake to a location .3 miles down the road), but they would only take the order when they arrived. Ridiculous, cannot rely on the cake we wanted to be there.

I ordered a cake for my sons birthday Customer's service was not 5star but that wasn’t the issue… I would’ve gave it 4stars if it wasn’t for how the cake taste. It was TOO SWEET and inedible. I had 3 bites and if I had a 4th I feel like I would’ve became a diabetic. Which is odd because it’s not my first time. Literally no one could eat it because of how sweet it was . I was disappointed because I was looking forward to it as well as a few of the guest who have purchased before. It was SO BAD that someone asked me if I was Sure this was carousel cakes!! I am a reoccurring customer who normally buys cupcakes, this would be my 2nd time buying a cake. I really regret my purchase.

I purchase a Cannoli cake and assumed from the description, “A unique spin on the cannoli, this vanilla cake is filled with rich cannoli filling and topped with our delicious buttercream frosting and almond slivers,” it would be filled with rich cannoli cream. It was barely filled and what cannoli cream was there was filled with chocolate chips. There is no mention of chocolate chips in the sales description. While I have purchased many carousel cakes in the past and have never been disappointed, this was a disappointing Birthday conversation. I hope Carousel takes this review as constructive criticism from a person who knows a good cannoli.
