First time going there...environment was fun, music and Christmas decorations made the place look beautiful.
The food was great...pricey but generous servings, fresh and full of flavor.
Waitress was so so...

I had dined at Cafe con Leche only twice before I knew it was where I wanted to celebrate my 50th birthday. It is very hard to find authentic and delicious PuertoRican food in the upstate NY area, and even though it is an hour away from where I live, it is worth every minute of the drive. Not only was I sold on the food, but the fact they have a separate room with space for up to 50 people with its own entrance and bathrooms finished sealing the deal for me. My theme was tropical, and the “Abuela’s Room” decor also lended a perfect backdrop. I worked with Ray, the catering manager, to plan out all the details of the party. The variety (and amount!) of food choices for my buffet style birthday lunch included something for everyone on my guest list. He was informative, professional and always available to answer any and all questions I had, every step of the way. Everything is spelled out in a contract and guarantees there is no room for confusion or misunderstandings. Ray and management allowed decorations so I worked with a local vendor (Ana at Beautiful Balloons) who already knew the space and knew exactly how and where to position everything.
So far my experience had already been fantastic, but the cherry on top was being assigned Ariana as the hostess on the day of my party. To say she multi-tasked is an understatement. She took drink orders for my party of 30 guests, served, made sure every meal change was timed perfectly and helped me coordinate different aspects of my party with suggestions that truly elevated the whole experience. She even had the owner/chef and staff come up to sing happy birthday! She was in constant communication with me, and a step ahead of every request I had. She truly went above and beyond. My guests raved about the food, the service and the experience. Ray even checked in one last time once the event ended and asked how everything went. My party was a dream come true and exceeded any and all expectations I could have had! I would absolutely, without a doubt do it all over again!

Came here at the recommendation of some family members who’d been there before. What a huge disappointment. Ordered what was listed as a “stuffed avocado” with rice & chicken.. was nothing but a massive plate of rice surrounded by chicken strips, drowning in some mayo based sauce and HALF of a haas avocado sitting on top. Other family members enjoyed their meals, but how does a Puerto Rican restaurant not have hot sauce/ picante!?? One and done
Excellent Puerto Rico fare
Great food, great atmosphere. If only there was one in New Jersey 😫!!!!

I will hope that my grandmother doesn't hate me for this. But this is the best Puerto Rican food I've ever had! Worth the 1hr drive
I will tell the world of this place

The best service, atmosphere and Puertorican food in the area. Not much to say, you need to try it out. Remember to order one Quesito.

This is Puerto Rican food at its best. Service was great. The wait for the food was a little bit long but well worth it.

As a Puerto Rican living in Orlando, I can confidently say Café Con Leche in the Hudson Valley is the real deal! The flavors are authentic, rich, and truly remind me of home. Every dish is made with love and you can taste it in every bite. Orlando has plenty of Puerto Rican restaurants, but honestly, none of them compare to this place! The food, the atmosphere, and the service are all absolutely top notch. If you want to experience Puerto Rican cuisine done right, this is the spot. I can’t wait to come back! 🌴🇵🇷☕️ From the appetizer to the dessert! Gosh! This place is amazing!

Honestly, I thought I was dining in a Puerto Rican restaurant on the island, and eating abuela's cooking. The food was out of this world, and exceeded my expectations. I'm only sorry that I waited so long to get there.

Too too expensive crazy expensive
On September 22nd, my husband took me to Café Con Leche as it was my birthday, and I’ve been wanting to go there since I heard about this place.
We had the Taste of Puerto Rico sampler, which was amazing.
My husband, myself, and our 2 children all ordered something different for the main course…the food was truly amazing, and not to mention the juices we had: guava, mango, and guanábana juice. I was a bit skeptical about ordering the juice because I thought it was going to be overly sweet, but it wasn’t; it was just right. The kicker for me was the coqui and rainstorm sound in the restrooms; the sound of the coqui was such a unique and special touch in my opinion.
The restaurant itself has a cozy and homey feel.
I only wish there was a closer location to me, in the Mt. Hope-Middletown area.
With that being said, I wouldn’t let the distance stop me from returning again and again.
