Excellent food and staff. They gave my daughter her dessert on the house on her Birthday. Thank you Mikawa team. Food is delicious. I love the spicy chicken and quantity is well worth the price.
Disappointed we didn’t know the beef bento was coming with shrimp tempura as well, due to seafood allergies we asked if it could be replaced with chicken tempura or pork or whatever but seafood. They took the tempura off and the veggie that touched it, end up we were told that they can’t make an other king of tempura we were supposed to let them know about the allergy.Giving 2 stars, for the young server who tried his best with the kitchen for a moment
Very Nice atmosphere...the food was delish! The staff was friendly and nice. The food comes out super fast! The music was modern...my 6 year old loved trying sushi for the first time! We had the pan fried shrimp udon! And I will be back for more! Super yummy!!!
Not impressed. Ordered hibachi noodles and got wet noodles with chicken that taste like chewy bubble gum. Complained right away and was told “this is how we always make them”. Sushi was okay at best. Go someplace better for the amount of money you’ll spend here. Even the lunch special is not special.
It’s very clean and the food is excellent
Korean food is good. In the past I tried the spicy chicken over rice and also the bibimbap, which were surprising well made. Service is slow and was only what looked like the owner and another waiter working there. Can't really fault them for being short staffed during this time. Just need to show patience for these small business owners.Took off one star because the items are expensive.
Food has always been good. However, the service was really mediocre during our last visit. It took a long time for them to notice that we wanted to dine-in because they had no one at the front desk. We finished our apps and were served our entrees before they even gave us our sake. They offered waters which was nice but I had to remind them that I still haven't received my tea. We had to wave them down for the check. It would be fine if the place was super busy but there was only like 2 families there. The staff was kinda just hanging out instead of checking in on their customers. Never had problems with this place before COVID so I don't know what changed.
The sushi pieces have gotten much smaller and they longer give you pickled radish, pickled zucchini etc.
Nice enough place... sushi was ok... but I just paid $47 for 4 basic rolls... 2 spicy crunchy tuna and 2 spicy crunchy yellow tail. ?
You get a lot of food but you are lucky to get out for less than $30/person after tax and tip ... taste is only passable and on bland side ... although facilities look good, do not plan for business lunch here, since it takes them about 30~45 minutes typically to bring you the food ... for takeout you better order at least one hour in advance

Save your money. If you have to eat there then the Gyoza and chicken or shrimp teriyaki are good. Otherwise, everything else we've ever had is overcooked and tasteless or smothered in miso paste....even when it's not appropriate for the dish. DO NOT GET RAMEN THERE!We've tried to given them a chance.....the staff are so wonderful! But after this 3rd dinner I had to write a review and consider it over. The food is just really, really bad. I wish it weren't so since their a neighborhood place. 2 stars is just for the food mentioned above and the wonderful staff.
Food is Excellent & The Service was great
Today I got their Soy Sauce Ramen, it’s crazy salty!! I have high blood pressure, I ate that noodles even not drinking the soup, I might kill myself!
My experience here is less than stellar. First let's start with fairly empty restaurant with no more than 6 visible patrons. My wife and I stood in the front for 2-3 minutes until someone noticed us, and told us to sit anywhere we like.We sat, and waited 10 minutes until a server comes to ask if we would like a check. No, we haven't even ordered...Embarrassed, the server grabbed a dirty soy sauce spilled menu for me and my wife. It was really our fault, we should have walked out after waiting 2 minutes for attendant.I asked for a new menu, and I got a cheap copy machine looking one. Ok, I thought maybe the food would be better right?Wrong. We asked for wine and got a unwashed wine glass with lip stain on it. Pretty sure it would be against COVID-19 protocol.Got a new glass... Just a newly washed glass. Ok ok, we should have really left when we were served dirty glass. But food must be good right? Right? The sushi boat came, and it was behold, dirty with mold. And the sushi rolls weren't even good and well rolled. And the sashimi tasted like they just took it out from the freezer. Either we were served left over or week old food. Will never return. I advise others to do the same. This encounter wasn't even on a busy day.Unacceptable.
This is New York, some work way too hard for their money to offer people who give a rating of 0-1 star customer service. The excuses given were we are from a different country we do things different and we didn’t want to bother you while you were talking . Me and my friend had two different waiters. That’s speaking from the experience of a often customer at different restaurants between Brooklyn, Queens, and Long Island. I’m not sure how her experience was when she arrived with waiting to be seated but I didn’t have that problem because she was at the bar. When I came in and sat down waiter came and I asked her for red wine your choice. She had no idea whether they even sold red wine, luckily I’m very patient. I ordered and my friend and I talked for an entire hour she was finished before my food even came out. After my food was brought out and my friends empty plate sat there at the bar not one of two waiters who we met upon arrival came to see whether everything was fine or whether we wanted water or anything else or deserts. It was just me and my friend another at a table of 3. So no one showed there face the entire meal. We both had to flag down a waiter of any kind to get our check, we got our check and not from anyone of our two separate waiters paid and signed with not one of our two waiters and when it was time to pick up the receipt one of two come and pick up our receipts then realized as we nicely explained why the tip wasn’t given or earned. I was willing to spend more money there after such an experience. And was refused to be served again because the lack of money left for them. And I completely understand I would have felt upset also. But one thing I willl never do is treat my customers as though they aren’t valued enough to take time out of my personal conversation to see if a person wants to spend MORE money at my restaurant. Sorry!, I’M NOT SORRY!
