Overall, the service & food was incredibly Friendly service The baked clams are the best on Long Island

Met a friend for lunch, it was perfect. No rush, food was good. A lunch menu would have been a plus..hint hint

Our waiter Miguel was excellent. Managed our party of 11 perfectly. As always, the manager Chi Chi was outstanding . We love coming here. Food and service great. !!!

Once again we had an amazing meal at Umberto's! Kudo's to the manager of the restaurant, who makes a real effort to treat his customers special, going out of his way to be accommodating!

Ordered pizza as usual, never showed up, called and they were very rude with no response to why it was taking so long. Lost my business along with my family and friends 🤬

Horrible .. called in food
. Got there. And they didn't even put in the order yet! Pizza regular slices were cold only in the center when served.. ordered a hero veal... they brought it to the table wrong... my company then ordered calamari and it tasted disgusting... manager there on a Saturday was an idiot... besides the register girl... can't type enough how disappointing this location was ...and all.in the same visit!

This place is open till 10:00 pm and they wouldn’t take an order for 2 salads at 9:30. I consider that terrible service. The guy at the register told me that he had a large receipt he has to book for th day orders and I said so, what does that have to do with me I am trying to order dinner and your open till 10pm it’s only 930 and u won’t let me order 2 salads to go? I’m sorry but that is the worst service you can possibly ask for. They just lost a dozen customers over being LAZY!!!

This restaurant has really good food and the service was excellent. Never feel rushed, recommendations were provided when requested and very accommodating. We have been here several times and will continue to go. If you have not been, please go. You will not regret it.

The owner took us for a walk and showed us his garden around the parking lot his staff is equally as friendly great atmosphere and really good Italian food and pizza you will never be disappointed

I had never dined at Umberto’s nor had I ever been to New Hyde Park. I wasn’t sure what to expect but I can confidently say that Umberto’s exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked through the door the hosts greet me with smiles and kindness. The wait staff, specifically Antonio was friendly, professional, attentive, and enthusiastic.He clearly and and thoughtfully expressed what was available and frequently checked-in to ensure that we were satisfied with our food/drink choices.

What especially impressed me is when I expressed to Antonio that I couldn’t eat anything too acidic or disruptive to my digestive system. When I suggested perhaps a dish with olive oil instead of red sauce he paused, thought a moment, then suggested an alternate dish. It was delicious and exactly what I needed.

Though I did have my heart set on a dessert that I have previously ordered at restaurants I usually frequent, Antonio smiled and shared that an Olive oil cake is what was being offered that evening. I was reluctant but he again smiled and suggested I try it and if I didn’t like it, it would be removed from my bill. I LOVED THE OLIVE OIL CAKE!!! It is deliciously moist and like the man dish I ate for dinner, it took back to my visit to Italy years before.

I highly recommend Umberto’s if you want to sit down and eat or just want a quick slice of pizza or meal to-go.

The ambiance is very nice, the food is delicious, as is the service. Antonio truly made my visit there feel like I was part of the community regulars. He is definitely an asset to the team.

Fortunately I don’t have any photos, not because I couldn’t take them nor because I wasn’t inspired. Rather because I chose to be fully present with my cousins and their friends.
