Wonderful menu and beautiful meal. Popovers are particularly special. Mario's is as an old standby restaurant, everything on the menu is a gem, I swordfish special it was particularly good.

Make reservations! This place is outstanding. This place operates like a well-oiled machine. Our server Brian carried a pleasant personality, always kept us informed, always checked up to make sure we were happy. I couldn't have asked more from him. The chef, my god, that duck was cooked perfectly. It was incredible. I wish Iived close by because I would become a regular.

They have a wrong number and won't stop texting me me asking if I'll cover shifts. I neither work there nor have I ever worked there. It's happened 4 times and I keep telling them to delete my number.

The food and the servers were fantastic, but the kitchen seemed overwhelmed and slow (in fairness, the place was packed... which also speaks well to how great the food is). When the food came out, it was perfect. So, kudos to the kitchen for not compromising quality!

Best restaurant in the entire area! All entrees are wonderful, lovely desserts (just wish they had an apple offering at this time of year!) and the service is impeccable! To top it off they serve POPOVERS! And the atmosphere is wonderful, just the way I like it: crisp white linen tablecloths, friendly staff, great bar, fireplace and knowledgeable “foodie” clients!
Parking: So convenient! Right outside restaurant!
Kid-friendliness: Children are welcome, all are well bred and considerate of others.
Wheelchair accessibility: My brother in law uses a rollator, no problem getting in and out of restaurant. Staff so very helpful!

We hadn’t been to Mario’s in years, but we came here for a special occasion with a party of 6, and it was nothing short of perfect! From appetizers -to dessert everything was outrageously delicious! Our server, Brian, went above and beyond, making sure every detail was taken care of. The whole experience was fantastic. 5 stars all the way up—we will definitely be back!
Have always loved Mario's, not this time My Short Ribs was supposed to be served on parpadelli..was served on a mashed potato with mixed vegetables..the beef was good the rest not so much. Hubby's duck which I have had before and loved, was fatty,gristley and tough. Hope this was a one time experience ?

I'm not a restaurant critic, but how is it that this place doesn't have at least one Michelin star? I dined alone on a Wed. evening shortly after they opened, so I got a table right away. I had the most delicious meal of my life: Tornadoes of Beef, garden salad and Creme Brulee & coffee for dessert. The waitress was perfect too... helpful with suggestions, refined, calm, attentive without being overbearing, and might I add, quite beautiful too All of this cost me $98 including 20% tip, AND worth every penny. When I left, there was a line to the door.... on a Wed. night in August. The food was superb and the presentation was also. Not too shabby for rural upstate NY. You won't be disappointed. Now, critics out there... where is that Michelin star?
