Food was very salty.. and on top of that
I asked him for a small plate he asked me why do I need a small plate? I told him it was for my 5 -year-old Granddaughter he was very adamant and preparing a large plate.He didn’t care what I said He just wanted me to spend money more money on A large plate. That was too much food for my 5 year old granddaughter . I told him I don’t need all that food. He practically forced me to buy a large plate he did not want to sell me a smaller plate.
he also told me I can save the rest of the food for later …

I went in to give this place another chance as I didn’t have a good experience before. The mangu is better than last time, salami perfect. The cheese was only 1 piece and it was small but also just tasted like dirty oil/pan and the second egg has SHELLS ALL IN IT. I’m crunching down and just all hard pieces.

My family and I ate dinner here with friends after a softball tournament and the food was hands down delicious. We had alcapurria de yuca for appetizers, which tasted just as the ones from back home from Puerto Rico. I ate the Mofongo with roasted chicken which was tender and super flavorful. My husband and daughter ate the rice, beans and roasted chicken with plantains which was also so delicious. Also their portion size is very generous. I highly recommend that you stop by and enjoy a delicious meal. We will definitely stop by the next time we are visiting the area.

I had a very disappointing experience at Nelly’s. My boyfriend, who is white and speaks a bit of Spanish, ordered a meal that was clearly listed as $18 on the menu. When he went to pay, the cashier and another employee had a conversation in Spanish right in front of him about up charging his meal. Despite the listed price, they decided to charge him $20 instead. This kind of behavior is racist and we won’t be coming back.

The chicken had a weird taste (cider) seems like was there for days. I didn’t eat it. First time and last time coming to that place. Horrible!
