Recently we “re-discovered” this gem of a Mexican restaurant several years after our first visit. While the food is outstanding, what differentiates El Jalapeño Charro is the warmth and friendliness of the staff and service. Maybe because we have gone off-times (before noon or mid-afternoon) where they could afford to provide extra attention, but the conversation and seeing the staff’s adorable toddler amble by shows that you are definitely NOT in a chain restaurant!...
Came in based on google reviews and while clean and well decorated - we were slightly disappointed with the food.
It’s not that anything was bad, but just lacking in flavor.
The service was good, not great. Their chips and salad were decent. We ordered queso to dip our chips in, but it wasn’t real great.
