I do love German food! I had the Jager SchnitzelI, the sauce with mushrooms and onions was made nicely, along with the red cabbage. The staff and the environment was welcoming, and gave the warm family feeling that we all love.. Furthermore my husband had the porterhouse steak which is few and in-between to find in regular local places. I must say it was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. Excellent old school German/American restaurant/tavern. The food and service were both fantastic. They serve a smaller menu for lunch. They have Spaten and Franziskaner Hefeweizen on tap. I recommend the Schnitzel, the Sauerbraten, and the strudel. They have parking off street.

Highly recommend the house made bratwurst! Though I ordered a mix just to sample what they had, hands down theirs won the prize. Their mustard is house made too! What a treat!
Lobster bisque was the soup of the day, and since it was my first time there, I had to have it. Wow! Flavorful and definitely made with real lobster (I even caught some shell in there so I know it was genuine. Thumbs up)

A great meal after a decent hike in the gunks. Recommended.
