After a long day of traveling, our family luckily found ourselves at IL Tesoro Ristorante & Pizzeria. The host was incredibly professional, and we could tell that he was passionate about the menu, food, and service. Our dinners were undoubtedly the best Italian dishes we've ever had, and we really appreciated the staff's patience with our two children. For anyone looking for authentic and delicious food, we would absolutely recommend IL Tesoro Ristorante & Pizzeria.
Hand down best place around , delicious thin crust pizza! Everything fresh and made per order.

The owner, Frank, is a creep and should be avoided at all costs. Do not support his business. Not only is Frank a creep, but he is extremely disrespectful to his staff in front of customers. I witnessed Frank berate one of his employees after she refused to upsell me on multiple items (their prices are already a complete rip-off), which made things extremely uncomfortable not only for the employee, but also myself. In addition to that, I have witnessed Frank make multiple inappropriate comments to females both inside and outside of his business. Frank is a disgusting animal and doesn't deserve your business. If you want better pizza, sandwiches, and prices, go to Mama Theresa's in Vails Gate.

Just got home from a wonderful dinner. There aren’t many restaurants that stand out when I’m outside of the city visiting family but this one did. IL Tesoro was a great dining experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was calm and inviting. We had the clams and calamari to start. We had the chicken martini, branzino, and zuppa di Pesce. Every dish was excellent and flavorful. Frank, the owner, added to the experience. He was attentive and it was clear he truly cares about both the food and his customers. Highly recommend and definitely a place we will return.

Stopped by a local restaurant today, family of 9, I must say the overall experience was nothing short of impeccable.
The Service and hospitality was stellar and the food was very amazing!! Friendly, funny and very warm environment. We dined outside on the patio and the environment was warm and welcoming! Evening sky, cool breeze, fireflies in the distance lights to set the ambiance.
10 out of 5 stars. Beyond perfect.
Food was fresh, made in-house. Thank you for taking family and I and treating us like family.
We will be back!!

Pizza was great! Good balance of flavors and nice crust. Nice atmosphere- very homey. Would prefer homemade iced tea and lemonade vs. bottled considering the quality of food, the beverages should match. Charged for refills of beverages. Very friendly and professional staff. Owner runs through a list of items with details of each which is overwhelming. Instead, have specials menu or speak about 3.

If you are looking for authentic Italian food look no further. Easily some of the best Italian dishes my family and I have ever had!!! From a full leg of grilled octopus, to the arancini in the most delicious sauce, down to the pizza it was all beyond what expected. As if the food being amazing wasn’t enough the wait staff and owner truly made you feel at home. Frank the owner was so personable and really took the time to get to know us!!! Thank you for an awesome dinner!!!

This is the closest thing to Arthur Ave., Mulberry St., Bensonhurst, Gravesend you’re going to get in the Hudson Valley. I will argue and defend that I’ve had better meals here at Il Tesoro than well known eateries in NYC. I refuse to eat pizza anywhere else around here except at Il Tesoro. My family just recently relocated to Cornwall about 5 years ago. We struggled to find any decent Italian food in the area. We reluctantly tried this restaurant after it took over the Cafe Richiesto location because of the lost hope of finding great Italian food. Since we stopped there when it opened. We just keep going back. We were there 3 times in seven days this week. I wish I heard more talk about this place around town. We have yet to have a bad meal or experience in the restaurant since it’s been open. You want to know about the food you’re eating? The owner and staff will tell you everything about it, including where the ingredients came from. If you have not eaten here, you need to.

From the moment we stepped through the doors, it was clear we were in for something special. The ambiance was warm and sophisticated, striking the perfect balance between upscale and inviting. Every detail — from the soft lighting to the elegant table settings — reflected thoughtful curation.
Our server was knowledgeable, attentive without being intrusive, and guided us through the menu with genuine enthusiasm. Each dish that arrived at our table was a work of art — beautifully plated, rich in flavor, and executed with precision.
The highlight of the evening was the seared scallops with truffle risotto — perfectly caramelized, delicately seasoned, and paired with a velvety sauce that brought the dish together in harmony. The dessert, a molten chocolate cake with a raspberry coulis, was the perfect finish: indulgent, balanced, and utterly satisfying.
The wine list was extensive and well-curated, and the sommelier's recommendation paired beautifully with our meal.
This restaurant doesn't just serve food — it crafts an experience. It's a place where passion meets precision, and where every bite tells a story. We left feeling inspired and thoroughly impressed. Highly recommend to anyone who appreciates fine dining at its best.
