I'm giving the place a 3/5 because the double order had a strong baking soda taste. When I visit the area again, I'll give them another try and provide an updated review.

Doubles 9/10
Macaroni Pie 7/10
Curry Goat 5/10
Pelau 7/10
Roti 7/10

Best doubles I had in America.
Food was a little salty but nothing crazy.
Curry Goat was just oil, don't think the fat was removed.

Great clean environment!
Will definitely try again and edit my review if needed.

Stopped in today to check out this restaurant. They’re very few in the area that offer Trinidadian food so I was delighted when this came up on my Google search. The food was delicious and the service was great. Unfortunately, there are no tables for dining as it is a very small establishment, but there are approximately five high stools at the front where you are able to eat. Will be returning.

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying Trinidadian cuisine, and it was an unforgettable experience. The flavors were vibrant and authentic, with each dish offering a unique blend of spices and ingredients. From the perfectly seasoned roti to the mouthwatering doubles, every bite was a delightful journey. The portion sizes were generous, and the presentation was impeccable. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. Whether you’re a fan of spicy dishes or prefer something milder, there’s something on the menu for everyone. I can’t wait to return and try more dishes—definitely a must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic Trinidadian culinary adventure!

Was in the neighborhood on Saturday and decided to do a Google search for a trini restaurant and taste of trini popped up. I will say the food was awesome and the owner and her son was so welcoming. I'm originally from Philly and was passing thru, and happy I came to the restaurant. Keep up the good work guys. I'll sure be back.

Me and my brother went last night, not long before closing. My family is from Suriname and I have been craving a dish my grandmother always made. These people are amazing. I knew from online that they had what I was looking for but they were so incredibly accommodating and knowledgeable and the owner even came out with some food on a paper plate that she had made in the back and gave us some of her own food!

She is willing to work with you on whatever you need. The food was next level! It brought me back to sitting in my Oma's kitchen in Brooklyn. The icing on the cake was they gave us a bunchhh of free doubles because it was close to closing.

Family owned business, couldn't ask for anything better. I will definitely be back!!!
