Where to start….D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-STried this for lunch on a whim with my husband and not only did Olga go above and beyond to make us feel welcome from the time we walked through the door: but the arepas, tostones, and passion fruit smoothie were to die for!!! Plus the atmosphere is spot on and the coffee was just the cherry on top in the end!!! Must try!

This is truly a hidden gem! My girlfriend, who just moved here from Colombia, and I decided to stop in and try Cafe Colombia on the way back from NYC last week. She gives them 5 stars. Says the taste is just like home. The family who own and operate the Cafe are wonderful! Welcoming, friendly, superb service and fantastic food. Definitely put this in your list. Although we’re almost 2 hours away, we’ll be back!!

I've had Colombian food just like this in hundreds of places, but they were almost all in Colombia, and the ones that weren't were in large US cities. This one is in Newburgh, New York and is just as good as any of those, so that's impressive.

My Colombian vacation was cut short a year ago (something going around, you may have read about it) so on my first domestic vacation since then I searched for Colombian restaurants on my route from Pennsylvania to New England, and this came up! It's only a few minutes off 84, and it's worth the detour. We ordered a lot and it was all excellent, and you can have Colombian soft drinks, which can be horrible to be honest (Postobón Manzana is only apple flavored for people who don't know what an apple is), but it's part of the experience.

First let me start the food here is some of the best Latin food I’ve ever had in my life, the ingredients really show what the owners and management put into their dishes as everything is simply delicious and it taste like a Colombian mom would make. I highly recommend this place and I keep coming back because the food is that good absolutely a 5 Golden Forks rating and I’m a fan forever!

Food was great, images are a true representation of the location. The grill chicken is some of the best I've tasted. Two thumbs up.

I am kind of disappointed. They started very well, but now the food is not what I expected. I ordered the white rice shrimp which I have order several times. Without telling me they gave tiny shrimps which are dirty. I wish they communicated this with me. Also, they forgot my beans. On Saturday I ordered as well and my food got cold waiting on the bread. They told me it will be ready in a few. I thought a few was 2 minutes. I waited almost 15 minutes. Like I said give what you show in the menu.

Wow the food was delicious!! I never had Colombian food before. My husband and I are both Puerto Rican and love to try different types of food. I stumbled across Cafe Colombia on google and read the numerous excellent reviews. I decided to give it a shot and I was not disappointed. Some of the best empanadas I’ve ever had. The rice and beans were so flavorful. My husband had carne asada and I had the pernil. It was seasoned perfectly and the portions were huge!! We will definitely be back.

Just visited this place today and the food was so good. They have great lunch specials. The grilled steak with rice, beans, and plantains were very tasty. I also enjoyed the pan de bonos I ordered to go. The restaurant was very clean. The food was very fresh. I will be back.

Stopped in last weekend for the first time and ordered two dinners to go, the hanger steak and the chicken pounded very flat and thin as well as the flan. Everything was superb including the side dishes. Talked with the owner, John, while waiting who could not have been nicer. The atmosphere is welcoming, food wonderfully seasoned with super fresh ingredients. Look forward to returning often especially after the opening of the cafe’s backyard patio and rotisserie for chickens. John said both will available soon. A wonderful addition to Newburg’s growing dining offerings. For a restaurant that opened just weeks before the shut down, they survived and should thrive with the support of a justifiably devoted clientele.
